What cams?
What cams should I get for my 03 GT? any info is appreciated:boink:
Need info on your combo first. What compression ratio, blower or N/A, what cylinder heads, what rpm you want/usage of car, etc.
it has stock heads...i don't know about the compression you have any suggestions? and it has a full exhaust system...i want it to be for daily driving but the occassional race...i'm thinkin high rpm power all the way to about 6500
Stick w/ the stage 1 cams but don't go further than the stage 2 cams. Companies to look at are Crane, Comp, Crower, and VT.
later on when i get new heads should i change the cams with the heads?
yeah you should wait till you get new heads cause theres no use in installing the cams now and having to do it all over again when you get new heads. and also you will see more gains with the heads and cam with just the cam you wont see more than about 15hp
so i should just go ahead and save up for the heads AND the cams together and put them on at the same time? alright that sounds cool thanks for the info,:worship2: instead of cams would it be worth buying a new intake manifold insteak for right now?
the stock manifold is plenty, deal with that after heads and cams.
Also, a good place to get cam recommendations from is the cam company themselves.
If your got stock heads and want a good dailyt driver cam a comp cams 262 or VT stage 1's are perfect for you. But i think money is spent better elsewhere first.
