Oil coolers

Who here uses an oil cooler? If so, which one do you use and what are your opinions about it/problems you might have had.

if you drive hard such as racing with high rpms alot then yeah get one. Otherwise your street car doesnt really need one.

I use a Hayden cooler. It's a cheap unit and works well. I ended up using braided lines and aluminum AN fittings which cost me another probably 70 bucks over the 80 dollar cost of the cooler, filter spud and adapter plate.

I think you can get them at speedconcepts.net. Call them and ask for ken. I got mine from him. You'll have to call up hayden after you get it to get the correct spud from them. It's a no charge item but not included in the kit last I knew.

Mine really helps keep the oil temps down on summer days when I'm sitting in traffic. I've had an oil temp guage longer than the cooler and it seems to make about a 50-80 degree difference when temps get high. Other than that my oil temps stay pretty low normally. A fan helps.
