Help with Cats
 
I have a 1997 mustang cobra with no cats and someone was telling me that the obd1 cats would work fine on the cobra i was wondering if this was true or if i had to buy the obd2 cats???

Never heard them called obd1 and obd2 cats, is there a difference?

idk, but i know the cats that my 97 had stock are honeycomb inside. soo any with the honeycomb will work fine from what i have read.. but i have no idea bout taht ob1 and ob2 called cats

Never heard that cats are made any diff dont they all have honeycomb.

Your car doesnt have to have cats to run. obd1 and obd2 are different types of ecu setups.

Magnaflow lists their cats under pre-OBDII, OBDII, and CARB OBDII. He may be refering to that. Eitherway, as long as it's the 3-way design, you're good.
