Is this right??

last night a couple friends and i went out to a random country road to see what my 0-60 time would be, i have a 97 gt vert. auto. with 94,xxx miles, and we ran it once and got a 9.98 for 0-60 :shakeno: , i thought that wasn't right soo we tried again and another 9 second, then finaly on my third and final try i hit a 8.75. but i stilll thought that was really slow. or is that normaly for how many miles my car has???

I think the 0-60 times for 01+ autos is around 6 seconds. 5 speed is around 5.5 or so. 0-60 time really isnt a good measure of anything.

Yeah it really isnt go find a track and you can get all of your measurements down most likely you calculated incorectly with your stopwatch or whatever the hell you used...lol

ohh, i just got bored soo i tried it out. also did my 0-100 time but that was really bad or i think it was. i did it in 25 seconds. then slew down to the 70 speed limit on the road

but i don't think i will do that agian unless its at a track.. the whole time i was sooo worried about cops.. i have gotton to where i don't speed much because of gas. both price and my cars mpg isn't where i like it..

9.8 seconds? lol... damn....
you spinning yer wheels?

i think my 84 honda civic can hit 0-60 in 9 seconds.

seriously, you should be able to hit it in 6-7 seconds easily. yer not measuring it right

SxyXc 04-12-2007 09:25 PM

thats what i was thinking. and no i didn't spin my wheels, when i get the money and have the time i'm going to bring my car to the local tracks test and tune to see what it will do.. probly not very good. the only things i have done to it are a K&N air filter and flowmasters. but i'm going to get o/r h-pipes pretty soon when i figure out which ones and how much.

btw how can you tell if your cats are cloged or arn't working properly, and my CEL is on becasue one of my friends thats not touching my car again had the bright idea to stick a long screw drive into my last cats when i was inside. soo the last cat on each pipe have a small part missing

There is something wrong with your car if it took 25 seconds to hit 100mph.
Jeez hit 100 in less then 10 seconds.
