AC on,rough idle ?
 

why would a 2000 GT idle rough w/ the AC on, but not when its on "vent".
There are no obvious vacuum leaks, and it only happens when the climate control selection is set to certain positions.

The AC compressor puts stress on the engine since it requires a certain amount of power to turn. Try unplugging your battery for 15 min, re-plug it, then for 10 minutes, do low speed driving w/ a good bit of idleing w/ the AC on and off. If that doesn't fix it, someone else can chime in...

sounds to me like an AC cycling switch, same thing on my car happened.

same thing happens on my 99GT. Is this a dealer only item? How much? Also, where is it located on the car?

I found its location...on the accumulator/dryer. When removing, does refridgerant escape?

happens wen i put front defroster on
