Factory fuel injector replacement question
 

I'd like to have my factory fuel injectors cleaned on my 99 GT. But, since the Ford Racing 19psi injector set is only around $200, I might as well replace them. Just wondering if these are a direct swap without reprogramming anything? I think the fine print said something about upgrading the MAF or reprogramming the computer? But, since these are stock flow, I'm confused??? I just want the 19psi ones.

What makes you think you need your injectors cleaned?

It isn't because of a driveability problem. Just preventive maintenance. has around 80,000 miles on it. Bought it this past fall and when I changed the fel filter, some nasty, rusty gas poured out of it.....was probably the original.

They're 19lb/hr not psi.. that's an important distinction you'll want to keep in your head for later.

Yes, as long as they're the correct type with the proper electrical connector and the fat body type you should have no trouble dropping any FRPP 19lb squirters in. It should not require any tuning changes though you'll want to disconnect the battery for 10mins to clear the adaptive learning. New injectors will flow more and better than your 80K mile units so you may see a bit of a rich condition for a while as your ECU learns the new ones. Not enough to matter usually... the worst I've seen was about a quarter point richer.

yeah, I meant to say 19lbs/hr.............I don't know why I always say psi when referring to injectors????
