Cam Degreeing ?-NOT A HOW-TO

I just got done degreeing my cams, and I must let it out WHAT A F***ING PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!!

Now that is out, I do have a question. I know that 1 & 6 have the same TDC. After looking at the cams after degreeing, it looks as if both intake valves are open at the same time, the first valve on the passenger side and the fourth valve on the driver side. Can someone just explain to me how that is possible? I would have thought that it would be opposite since they both had the same TDC. They can't both fire at the same time.

Or maybe it is an optical illusion. Maybe one is slightly further rotated than the other. I don't know. All I know is they both degreed in at 108 (card said 108.5). I am just looking for an explanation of how that works.

Well, the problem was that even though I lined the chains up individually with the timing marks, I didn't pay attention to the cams together, ie. I didn't have both marks lined up with the crank and essentially had the passenger side cam rotated 180 degrees relative to the driver's side. Stupid mistake and I got it figured out before installing the motor (although that was what was causing my vibration problems referred to in my other threads, but taking a step back this time and realizing this saved me from making the same mistake twice.) Just wanted to update this for anyone's future reference.
