exhaust is all about preference. Some people will tell you to go with off-road x/h pipes, some will say catted x/h pipe. Its all about what you think sounds good. Go to mustangexhaust.com and you can listen to a lot of different exhaust set-ups. The link in my sig has a video clip of my exhaust. Thats with flowmaster mufflers, LT headers, and a o/r x-pipe. Hope that helps some.

That is so true, its all about taste. You may think your bearded girlfriend is hot but others may differ in opinion. Just listen to different exhausts doing some runs as its different when a car is being driven or with load then it just sitting there revving its engine. I have some vids but with SLPs and flows just click on my sig.

Everyone is right on the money! I bought my mustang 6 years ago and have done a ton of stuff, but the one thing which has stayed is the cat back exhaust. I would love to get something else, because at idol it is pretty low toned and quiet. (flowmaster 3 chambers) and yet sounds really good at WOT. I get alot of compliments on the way it sounds with all the mods I have, so I have kept it. Find one you like and only impress yourself, not everyone else. If people like it then it is a bonus. If not screw them. :postwhore:

Borla. Ask around, try to listen to it in person, most soundclips are worthless.
I have the Borla Stingers catback with the stock H, and it sounds awesome.

When you ask what mods you should do you should probably tell us what goals you have for the car. Street car, show car, drag race, road course, daily driver, weekend cruiser, etc...

We need to know what you want so we can tell you what will actually get you there. First mod is forget any claims made by any aftermarket parts manufacturer. They're almost always lies. Just ask us and we'll tell you what you actually get from part X

Exactly, you can make a dyno read whatever you want. There are other ways to increase numbers, such as letting the car cool longer, etc. So dont believe all those #'s you read. That also means stay away from MAF and CAI's, both arent needed and are a big waste of money. Unless you're pegging the stock MAF which you arent going to do on an NA car.

I also wouldnt bother with plenum and t/b. If you want it then the Dragon plenum has performed great and its cheap. As for t/b go with the 70mm aviator. All that Accufab crap is too expensive and wont give you that much power. From the t/b down, just stick a K&N in and remove the air silencer. Leave the stock inlet tube and air box on.

As mentioned, most sound clips are lame.
