Venom INitrous installation

Ok I’m in the presses of installing my Venom Nitrous kit, I’m on my last wire to be taped and that is my O2 sensor. Well I have 2 white 1 gray and 1 back wire on the front 02 sensor. My question is which one of those do I tap into? I’m installing this as I write this, please if you know the answer help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

Shoot. i don't remember. The wiring instructions should tell you. You can check it with a volt meter. I believe that correct wire should have voltage between .1 and 1.0 volts. If is is not installed to the correct wire, I believe you will get an error reading. If the red and green light starts alternating back and forth at idle, and the blue light begins flashing, then you got it right.

Instructions: “Red/Black Wire Connects to White Wire on the VENOM Harness” All the Wires are one color I don’t see any that has two different colors (red/back) like you do on the injectors. :confused2

Two possibilities:

1 - Are your instructions for the correct year car?

2 - Did someone previous to you swap out the O2 sensor or add a O2 sensor extender? If so, this may explain your problem. I would bet it is the gray wire.

Like I said previously, you will know if you get it right or wrong simply by the way the system works. all the wires have to be installed in the correct locations, or you will get an error code. The Venom computer is trained to look for the correct voltages from the various wires. If it does not see it, then the system will not function at all.

For example, if one injector is not hooked up right, no spray!

Tried the gray wire. I have it on disable (haven’t filled up the bottle) the blue light flashed continuously but both of my lean and rich lights are on

If it it installed properly, as soon as you start the car, the red and green lights should flicker back and forth repeatedly. The blue light should remain OFF for about a 30 seconds or so. Then, the blue light should start flashing. This indicates that it is done performing the self test. The red and green lights should continue to flicker while at idle.

Ok the kit is working now. Instead of taping to the 02 sensor I taped into pin 87 (black and red) wire on the ECU. In case someone reads the in the future the ECU is on the passenger side kick panel, it’s a 104 pin connector. Cant wait to hit the track next week. What gear do you guys recommend I activate the nitrous with this kit? I have an Automatic

Assuming you have the Venom-1000 and it is a standard setup, the spray occurs at WOT no matter what gear you are in. Of course, it has to be turned on.

You can add a push button activation switch, but you still need to be at WOT. Just launch in 1st, but don't floor it...you need to ease in.

Have you tested it?

Both my lean and rich light go back and forth as I drive around and the blue light flashes continuously. Previously both my lean and rich lights where on and blue light would flash twice stop and repeat. I have not sprayed yet. I have a tune with my timing advanced and I can’t put the stock tune back because my rear 02 sensors are off the bungs are welded shut and also have 4.10 gears. I placed an order with Modulardepot for a nitrous tune.

Gotcha. Don't spray with advanced timing. With the Venom setup, all you need for a nitrous tune is to have timing stock or retarded. The fuel curves can stay stock, because the Venomk computer control fuel addition anyway.

Be sure to properly test with the smalles nozle first and work your way up. Be prepared to use up the first bottle just by testing it.

Have fun!

Yup I have the smallest nozzle on right now, I’ll work my way up carefully. Thanks for the help man, I really appreciate it.
