heads, Cams, Horsepower.oh my?
How much HP do you think a 2002 mustang GT with the following Mods makes?
PI heads ported and polished (Stage 1) by Steen Racing VT Stage 2 Cams Steeda Pullies Accufab 70mm Throttle Body/ Accufab Plenum JLT Ram Air intake JBA Shorty Headers MAC Catted H-pipe Flowmaster Exhaust SCT Custom Dyno-Tuned (4bank chip) Heh...and this would be before the Juice. |
300-310 in a manual would be what i hoped for.
|
just under 300.
drop the shortys. Long tubes, or nothing at all. |
310 'cuz of the port and polish
EDIT: after all that, you might as well get a supercharger |
what about all of that and a kenne bell? What would it make then.

A lot. Hahaha. If a built bottom end, you it would all depend on the pulley size. I would do it to a stock bottom though, I bet you'd be pushing 500-525RWHP at 9PSI |
not nearly at nine. maybe at 14. at 9 probably 430 or thereabouts.

not too mention the little bit of help from a JLT CAI and exhaust. I'll take the bet it's closer to 500 than 400 anyday. |

Do you already have the shorties? If not then forget about those. Id rather get an intake and Im very against those. I still think youll make over 300rwhp with a good tune. But who cares about #'s, 1/4 times are more important, and within that, mph is more important. That tells you how much power the car is making and its real potential.
|
yeah even counting that... with stage 2 blower cams and ported 2v heads you're not going to see nearly 500rwhp with 9psi unless your compression is sick high.
I've tuned cars that are so equipped. The best were in the 430-something range on stock compression and internals with a good safe tune. Apart from all that, dyno racing is for the birds. |
310 rwhp
