I for one believe you all who have helped me with the information. The car is running alot better but with some pinging at inconsistent times. The timing was kept at 8 degrees and the fuel pressure was raised to a right high 45psi. He has given it a bill of health for the 2nd time and so if it blows, armed with the warranty information, I will go to court if something happens.

The blowby in the breather tube he says he believes came from the fact I have a valve cover filter breather on the drivers side where the oil cap would normally go. He told me the filter was likely causing the breather tube to create a little bit of vaccumm within the cold air intake and where one tube exhausted into it, the other was sucking it in. I am not I agree. I am not sure I am stating this 100% but, I am trying to relay it back to you all. I will get back to you as soon as get some more information.

To all of the folks who gave me help and assisted me without knowing my ass one bit, I would like to say a very heartfelt "Thanks." I add a pic of "red" in the garage tonight from the builders. I think my stang looks pretty good for 165,800 miles.

keep us updated... and get some better pic posted in the lounge :poke:

I will do. I am anxious to get it on the dyno and tuned. It needs it a bit. Otherwise, it is running for now. I will post the dyno numbers all info from the session in a few weeks. Thanks again everyone

New Motor Help Update!!!!

Hey everyone!

Well yesterday my stang went to Modular Madness West in Salt Lake City. Heath the owner was just awesome to deal with. I dropped the car off at 1030 am and by 1430 I had it back. This guy was amazing. The pinging I was experiencing is gone. A few custom programs and an SCT tuner and she is rumbling like she is supposed to and not pinging. The dynometer showed a bit over two hundred to the wheels. Heath said on a corrected Dyno Jet the motor was around 260hp. This is great because it brought the 96 GT weak 215 to the 1999-04 GT specs.

My mustang goes into the shop again on December 8th for a set of 3.73 gears since I do way too much highway and city driving to go to steep.

Since ported heads are not financially feasible, what would any of you truly suggest in the next steps of upgrades? I was advised the gears and a 2800 stall converter would really awaken my car. Will a slightly hotter cam work with stock built PI heads? I am working on the pics as I speak. Final compression numbers calculated by Heath at Modular Madness has me at a right high 11:8-1 for those who wanted to know.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out in this endevour. You are great. I look forward to getting the pics up and submitting some new gee whiz questions as they come up.

Take care,
John

new motor updates

By the way, rwtq was at 260. So I am guessing it is laying down close to 300 in torque. I forgot to add the torque numbers. The flow chart was very nice and not spikey and flat. it is a nice curve.
