03 cobra internals
Theres a guy I know of that is selling his stock 03 Cobra rods and crank. They have 20,000 miles on them and the price is $200. Will these just drop right into my 01 GT motor? I was pretty sure that they would, but I want to be sure before I think about buying the set. The crank has just had a slight grind and polish on the journals. Looks like I can have a whole rotating assembly with rods, crank, pistons, and rings for around $600.::p

as long as none of the pistons are wrecked and the car didn't spin a bearing... yeah they'll sorta drop in. You'll have to re-ring the slugs and have it properly assembled which will be kinda pricey. Killer price for a forged rotating kit though. It'll drop your compression a bit so I hope you're putting more boost on.

Well the guy is just selling the crank and rods by themselves. Nothing is wrong with them. I will have to buy new pistons. I saw some nice Manley pistons for around $300 on ebay. Ill need those and some rings which shouldnt be all that bad. I dont really have the money to have the engine assembled yet, just gonna piece the parts together and have it done next summer/fall.

if you're going with standard bore slugs I've got a set you can have for 100bucks. TRW L2608F forged 2618 aluminum.

You may need to clearence the block for the crank, or at least that's what Ford says...
