Solid Motor mounts?

Would there be any advantage or disadvantages by installing solid motor mounts? Any bad effects in the long run? Thanks in advance.

on a all-out race car there great. on a street car, not so great. more NVH issues, nuts & bolts vibrate loose, steering shakes more as does the whole car and the gains are small

So your saying that if I get them my car would basicaly rattle apart. I guess I would rather my car stay as a whole. Would it be a good idea to replace the motor mounts with any other kind? Or are the stock ones just as good as onay other?

stock ones are fine, Ford does have a harder rubber improved engine mounts that are a tad better (@$45.00 each) and energy suspension makes some poly mounts but there $$$

I ran the stock improved mounts on mine for years before I switched to the soilds engine mounts, mines not a street car anymore and if you do go-to solid engine mounts, you'll need a solid trans mount and for 1999 up Mustang, thats even more $$$
