any non-piggy back style UD's will do the trick (i.e. steeda, motoblue, etc.)

ReaperAZ 09-11-2006 09:05 AM

Got Steeda on mine and never an issue.

Saleen S330 09-11-2006 09:19 AM

I would say the same, steeda, i have friends that have them and they install easy too. though i have saleen on my saleen.

steeda... they're SFI certified and really quite nice, only UDP I'd use. Considering I HATE steeda as a company that's saying a lot for me to recommend them at all.

Get the steedas. I had mine installed a month ago and you could really feel the difference.

you really felt a difference? i have heard from alot of ppl that they dont hardly notice a difference in power at all...ive seen dyno sheets that make me think UD pullies are a waste of money +2 hp at 5000 rpm lol or somthin

blownstang 09-11-2006 04:06 PM

Yes I did. When i did my Accufab plenum w/70mm throttle body and JLT RAI I didn't feel a thing. There was a little better throttle response, but as for pulling any harder I could not tell. I didn't believe in pulleys either until my friend told me that when he put his Saleen pulleys on he felt a difference. So I decided to get my Steedas. I had a shop install them, and the first time I punched it getting onto the highway, the car pulled alot stronger from 3,000 rpms. It actually put me in my seat. Something that it never did before. I was so excited! On my way home everyone was doing like 75-80 on the highway, and I just flew past them doing 100mph.

To be honest, i didn't expect to feel anything. Maybe it is because my car still has the stock gear. The guys who do the gear first, and then pulleys, may not feel the difference.

I have steeda U/D Pullies on my car and I felt a noticeable difference. Just remember to put the RTV silicon on the keyway slot.

Do you have any "heavy duty" stereo equipment?
Cheers
Cooper

merced5136 09-12-2006 09:39 PM

nope no stereo...yet lol. will the pullies really make that big a difference on my charging system?

cooper 09-12-2006 09:40 PM

Depends on what you are running. 300-500 watt amp etc. you should be fine, after that you may want a cap.

hey did ur tb and plenum make a good gain on power? how much did they add?

cooper 09-12-2006 09:46 PM

Couldn't tell you, added the control arms, lakewood's, long tubes and a rebuilt tranny the same time as the throttle body etc. sorry
I'd rather do things in big groups as opposed to one at a time.
