c&l vs bbk

ok guys, I want some advice on plenums. and im going to put this out in advance, please dont just put accufab. I know they are top notch, but also cost a pretty penny so they are not an option right now. so was wondering which would be better, the bbk plenum (which i think looks better) or the c&l plenum. my stang has almost zero mods, other than a cat back and drop in filter. a s/c is in the future but not the near future and the engine will most likely get stroked when that happens, so im not looking long term in respect to either of these plenums not working well with forced air. i know ill have to pay twice for it but by that time with 2 degree's with one in engineering money wont be a problem.

so guys with either of these plenums, give your likes and/or dislikes about them. quality issues and the like. ty in advance..

I have a Dragon plenum and I like it. sorry its not one of the ones listed...but IMO if MPH sells it, its good.

i have a gms which is a direct copy of the C&L and i have a bbk TB i spent i think 170shipped total for both and i am happy with the little extra power i got from 4k and up. I need to go run my car to see hwo much this helped et and mph.

I have a CnL and i noticed a difference. I would look on ebay for a used one to save some money.

Plenums are all about the same. About two years ago these were the rage. There is only about 2 hp difference between the best and the worst.

I also had a C&L on my 03 GT and really liked it. The quality was good and noticed some power increase in the upper RPMS....for me personally, I will never put anything BBK on my car....It's a personal choice and opinion..... their products are cheaper for a reason....remember, you usually get what you pay for!

Also, if you end up going with C&L I think they recommend a 75mm throttle body to get maximum power out of the plenum.

I've had a C&L and now i have the accufab, i think the C&L was better. the C&L had a smooth casting on the inside, i had to use a dremel to smooth out the accufab.

I have the BBK 75MM Throttle body/Plenum comb. I'm real happy with the way it has performed and it looks good. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I recently switched from a C&L plenum / BBK 75MM TB to the accufab 75 plenum and TB. From a performance perspective they felt the same. The BBK TB was more difficult to set-up and get to idle correctly and the throttle response wasn't as smooth (it felt like you had a little hard spot to push through off of idle, like the pedal was harder to push) it made it jumpy to transition from foot off accelerator (coasting) to foot back on the accelerator. Once you get above 1000 RPM it was just as smooth as the accufab. I can't speak to BBK plenum, I'm sure it's the same as all the others but I did really like the C&L plenum and the accufab

wow, great info guys thanks so much. i kind of firgured the differance in gains would be minimal, its the over all quality of the product i am worried about. but i guess its up to the overall look of each one cause it sounds like they are both a good choice. as far as a 75mm TB, is there any other companies besides bbk, accufab and pro poducts (which i wont touch with a ten foot pole) that make 75 mm TB. cause i saw a concern raised with the BBK, has anyone else had issues?

I haven't has any issue with my BBK. Install was easy and didn't have any issue with the idle.

The only other TB I can think of is Edelbrock but from what I heard it's made by BBK and cost more.
