size of stock MAF? and TB?
 

Whats the size of the stock MAF and TB?
and if upgrading what size should i go with each?

Stock MAF is,I think,80mm.

85mm on the MAF and 65 on the TB. I wouldn't bother upgrading either unless you are going to do other mods. The best bang for the buck you could ask for in that price range would be gears and under drive pullies. One of the plenums would be nice too, but I preffer the Accufab combo which is quite pricey and probubly won't net you the same track gains as the gears and pullies.
To be honest, a good mail order tune probably wouldn't be a bad idea either. You should be able to get a good 7-10 HP from a good tune and with a MAF and TB you'll be lucky to get 1. Add gears and a set of pullies to the tune and you'll be loving life.

Definitley hold on to the stock MAF. At this stage in the game, it is nowhere near being a bottleneck. The stockers is good to around 325hp IIRC. Upgrading will however, give you a nice shiny paperweight and a lighter wallet to the tune of at least $500, if you factor in that fact that will need to get a tune for the car to run right.

The stock MAF unit will support tons of power. The stock Ford unit is much better than say a C/L or Pro-M. The AD counts of your MAF transfer function at idle with the stock unit may vary say 5 counts, with the aftermarket, they vary more like 30-40....and this is AFTER the car is tuned. The less variance the better. The MAF is probably one of the last things to do to a Mod motor, but unfortunatley because of advertising BS and cost, it and a TB are usually the 1st.
