full exhaust plans fell through, need help again
alright well i returned my BBK shorty H and full length headers. Just got alot of bad reviews on headers so decided im going to jsut go with a midpipe. just need to know some reccomendations. at first i was convinced i was oing with an H- but now i just want whatever ( H or X) one will do better in the 1/4 mile. yea i already know about the sound difference and thats mostly the only difference between the 2 but i wana know what you guys have and how you like the gains youve gotten. oh yea and i need to keep it catted :( . thanks.

wow...why in the world would u return the LT's and H...they would have been amazing on your car...money prob or just u didnt want to install them?
get an catted x...like slp catted x or something |
X pipes make marginally more power normally than H pipes do. That said, the difference is so minute these days that it doesn't even matter. Bassani catted X pipes are known for top quality and good fit. You don't need stainless if you aren't a show car, so save the dough and go aluminized.
slp are good too. |

H and X's sound awsome. I prefer the sound of the x's as i have one on my stang with bullets and it sounds amazing..:)

BTW, street racing is dangerous. Keep it on the track. Don't make it take wrecking your first stang to teach you some discretion. There's a time and a place for everything. |

iv heard that the H pipe adds more tq than an x and that the x gives you more of a top end but i dont know if it really is true but if it is you should go with an H

I have SLP Xpipe. its a great midpipe and if you ever decide to do longtubes in the future sometime, you dont have to change out your xpipe. SLP is a modular xpipe so you can take out the front section for long tubes. Same with the cats. You can unbolt those and put in race pipes if you desire to be catless.

You just have to know where to get it :)

IMO id go with the SLP. Like stated before you can swap out cats, LTs and things like that. So down the road when the car is in your name you can get the SLP LT and not worry about gettin a new mid-pipe.

Anyway, there are lots of great X-Pipes out there. Just take your pick. If you are on abudget, get a Pypes (Mustang Tuning X Pipe), otherwise, SLP. |
