New Clutch, Engine shuts off??

Hey everyone im new to the forums just got a 2000 mustang gt about two weeks ago with 42k miles.. Clutch was worn and cracked ( guy didnt know how to drive manual very well) and i switched it out over the weekend. Now the clutch is great BUT coming to a stop in 1st gear or neutral the car shuts off..:( . im not sure what this is hopefully someone can help me with this..it doesnt happen all the time only once in while, i drove it all day on sunday and it happened twice... oh and by the way the car has some mods done to it... x pipe, flowmasters, diablo tune, intake plenum and throttle body.. i dont know if that plays any factors in it.

:helpsmili

thanks,
Javier

well if it has anything to do with the trans, It might be the clutch cable, did you tighten it properly when you put the new clutch in?

Could be nothing more then a dirty IAC.

Is the clutch fully seperating from the flywheel? Maybe a little more adj needs to be done to fully remove the load each time you push the clutch. Is it simply cutting out or is it bogging down as you go sloweer until it quits?

Could just be a red herring and you have a completely seperate issue? Dirty IAC like was mentioned or you made your CPU mad, maybe restore the factory tune and then reinstall the Diablo tune. Did you do anything other than the clutch?

Well it hasnt done it anymore so im guessing it was the IAC or it was just breaking in .. the cable is tight and the clutch grabs fine.. im gonna try to put in the factory tune and then redo the diablo tune just in case..
