K&N FIPK or JLT Cold Air???

Ok so eventually i wanna trade out my lil k&n air filter for an actual cai. My question is that the only two systems that i have heard of that will fit a bullitt are the fipk and the jlt. Out of those two which one should i buy? I want the best bang for my buck so K&N or JLT????

get the JLT cause while dragging u can then take out ur headlight and air will flow thru the lil hole, where the wires to the head light to, straight to the filter

Same thing with the FIPK.

I have the FIPK and noticed a difference after the install.

JLT if for now other reason than it looks way better than the K&N. I picked up a good amount of power down low over my Mac CAI with the JLT.

doesn't the JLT have bigger tubing than K&N?

I like the K&N. Materials and quality are well suited to the task. I've also seen the most consistent gains come from FIPKs while other brands are hit and miss for any gain at all. Granted that you're looking at 3-5hp in any case.

I also like the K&N products. I've had two FIPK II's (03 GT & Mach) and I've been happy with both of them. I also like K&N because they are C.A.R.B (California Air Resources Board) certified....not like that means anything to somoene outside of Cali, but if it's C.A.R.B certified then it will your safe anywhere in the U.S.

not that it matters right now but, there's a recent news story that mentioned something about a push to get the rest of the country on the same standards and SMOG II bs that we in Kalifornia have to deal with. CARB certification will be very important if the virus of SMOG II spreads.

I remember seeing something about that on the news last week. There will be a lot of unhappy mustang owners throughout the country if that happens! Say bye bye to LT and mid length headers, Throttle body/plenum, mid pipes......the list goes on. I bet the aftermarket companies will fight it tooth and nail.

Get the JLT RAI.

sometimes bigger is not better!

I've got the JLT RAI, and I have to say it's not as good of quality as I expected. It's like an auto zone filter, and a painted peice of pvc pipe.

I got my kit from "http://tunableinduction.com/" and it works great.

Plus comes in stages so you can add / remove what you need / want.

Just my 2 cents.

I love my K&N! Its THE best one by far because I have seen both kits. The K&N just uses OEM quality materials and its bolted directly to the motor instead of to the firewall like the JLT. I went from the MAC CAI to the K&N and the difference was very noticeable. Mainly because the bend on the MAC was throwing the A/f ratio off.....

i have the K&N 63 series air charger kit and i noticed a great difference in the low end levels.and i have also had an FIPK for my f150 and it was great..so K&N for sure
