Hp ?

Could I make 350 RWHP with the following:

*Underdrive pulleys
*Roush CAI
*Longtube Headers/X-Pipe
*VT Stage 2 Cams
*Diablo Tune
*Intake Manifold
*Accufab Throttle Body/Plenum

or in other words can I take a Trans Am(stock)?

Lances03SVT 05-13-2006 11:34 PM

You would be right at 300 rwhp.

NoKturnaL 05-13-2006 11:35 PM

Dont forget the CatBack!!!!

Badfish 05-13-2006 11:37 PM

not even close to 350

Lances03SVT 05-13-2006 11:38 PM

Christie has all of those and got 299rwhp on her last tune.

matrixpuba 05-14-2006 12:12 AM

nope. lucky to get 300

Lances03SVT 05-14-2006 04:44 AM

What intake manifold are you talking about??

Saleen S330 05-14-2006 05:14 AM

Close to 300 but definitley not 350. At 300 you should beat a stock Trans Am WS6 or SS Craparo. The non WS6 you can definitley beat with 300 to the wheels. My friend had a 96 TA with a 350 stock 280HP and I would beat him all day long.

WaterDR 05-14-2006 05:19 AM

Even if you had ported heads, you still would not get there. Heads would put you at about 315.

You can't make 350 on these motor without a power adder. The compression is too low. Now you could get a built 4.6L motor with higher compression (around 11:1) and get close to 400 with cams and ported heads.

r3dn3ck 05-14-2006 08:54 AM

remember that most newer F-body's are about 800lbs heavier than the average 99+ mustang GT coupe. You won't need to match them power for power, just power to weight and driver skill.

Making 350rwhp with a 2V is wildly expensive and is still only 350hp... If you want to whack a camaro, get a blower or a small shot of nitrous.

spike_africa 05-14-2006 09:09 AM

plus they have a ton more c.i. then us. the most i ever saw with a stock short block was mike a local guy here in orlando made 325hp with stock short block ported heads, long tubes full bolt ones and all. Thats the most i have ever heard with stock displacement.

Im going to add a stroker kit too

Blk02stang 05-14-2006 08:41 PM

if you make right at 300rwhp you should easily beat a LT1 TA, altho with a LS1 TA they are only making 330ish to the wheel, but have a bit more weight than our mustangs do, so 300rwhp would probably be enough to take one.

GREG@94GT 05-14-2006 10:27 PM

350hp... NO

beat a trans am... with gears:devil2: yeehaw!

stage2roush2002 05-15-2006 08:09 PM

stage2roush2002 05-17-2006 03:52 PM

With a 150 shot you are taking a risk with your stock plastic intake! If you had a bullitt intake it would be a different story! I'd only go as high as a 125 wet/dry shot just to keep it safe and a good tune to keep your air/fuel in check...

yeah ofcourse, I was going to try out that professional intake manifold before adding nitrous.

What professional intake?...

csledd 05-17-2006 06:03 PM

well to throw my 2 cents in.. I beat a stock auto TA (LS1) before I put the cams in.. it was from a roll.

A Cumarrow SS came in a few months ago at the shop I work at, and had the SLP package. It said 400hp right on the hood, and even had the SS tags inside that said 400hp and 425 pounds of torque.

<pointless story> Power steering lines were leaking, has some suspesnion problems, and the check engine light was on. Of course the last owner of the car (it was a traded in car that being being put out on the used car lot of the dealership) had some sort of unknown brand MAF tuning box connected to the MAF that allowed you to adjust the fuel mixture. The code was an air metering one, i removed the box and reset the codes, the darn light was still on. But they didnt approve me to fix it, and said F it, leave it the way it is. </pointless story>

Either way, nice Fing car all the way around. Id pimp it.

stage2roush2002 05-19-2006 10:08 PM

How many horses can I get from the VT Stage 2 N/A Cams?

csledd 05-20-2006 03:54 AM

depending on mods.. it ranges throughout the powerband.. maximum will be 30-35rwhp and you'll lose some downlow power, but gain a TON (45-50rwhp) past 6krpms
