Default SLP Line Lock installed

me and my dad installed the line lock today.. makes burn outs MUCH easier. here's a few pics I snapped.. there's none of where the switch is mounted inside the car because you can't see it it's hidden underneath the dash for now.. I may move it to the coin holder later on though.

my car is REALLY dirty.. mostly because it storms like every other day here. the engine bay is pretty dirty too, but that'll get cleaned later on

I was gonna put my DR's on and make some vids, but I ended up just getting on the road in front of my house and testing it with my normal tires. only did it for a few seconds so it wasn't anything to record yet.. 1st gear is USELESS with this line lock lol.. next time I'm gonna try starting in second.

I think she means that she's hitting the rev limiter too fast in first, so she can do a burn out in second and get a good burn out. I had to do that with my GT when it had 4.10s. BTW, good job christie

exactly.. before I could do a burnout in first easy when holding the break and giving it gas at the same time. but with the line lock i barely dumped the clutch and saw redline instantly.

the line lock hooks up to the master brake cylinder and what you do is.. you press down the brake pedal and flip the switch on the line lock and then you can let off the brake. what happens is the line lock keeps the brake fluid from leaving and keeps the front brakes applied and the back brakes are not applied. so when you dump the clutch your back tires spin freely but you don't move because the front brakes are still applied. and then you just unflip the switch when you're done and go

Haha yeah thats right...duhh...i knew it was something along those lines but i forgot that you people who drive manuals dont have a third foot for the brake when doing burnouts. Sorry for the dumb quest. lol

It's good for auto too. The main plus about it imo is that it doesnt wear down your rear brakes. There relatively inexpensive

So is it to make it easier when heating up your tires at the track? Or is it's sole purpose just to increase tire companies' stock.

It was created to aid you at the track, but I guess if you only use it to show off your burnouts, then it would increase tire companies stock.

Where did you order the SLP Line lock's from? Also did you have to fab up anything or was it basicly a bolt on install? Also did you have to have SS braided lines to have the locks?

it comes with everything needed.. even prebent lines to make the install easier. You don't need braided lines.. all it does it goes underneath the master brake cylinder and controls the brake fluid.. for example to use it you hold the brake down and flip the switch. it keeps the brake fluid in the front and doesn't allow it to leave so the brakes stay compressed.

bought it from MT

Good deal. If you think your engine bay is dirty, you should check out mine. It would make yours look clean.

took maybe 2 hours at the most. no special tools were really needed, you may have to bend a wrench to hit a screw.. we already had one bent that we torched when installing the LTs
