Keeping your stang

How long do you guys plan on keeping your stang?..I will probably keep mine till after I graduate then see what the value is cause by then there probably wont be anything else left to do to it

GREG@94GT 02-21-2006 08:07 AM

i cant plan that far in advance...

madmatt 02-21-2006 08:08 AM

Im keeping mine until I graduate and get a downpayment on a house. Then, if I happen to stumble upon an 03 cobra in good shape (yea right...) then Ill scoop it up.

Rabbit 02-21-2006 08:12 AM

I've never owned any of my 18 cars longer than 2 years, but this one I plan on breaking that record with because I have so much to do to it. Just depends on what I run across in the future. Like I always say, "everything has a price". If I did find something else I liked and the offer was good enough on mine, it would be gone!

jjtgiants 02-21-2006 08:18 AM

From 2000-2006 I've had 4 stangs.....2 v-6's, vert gt and mach 1. So I don't have a history of hanging on to cars very long, but I'm planning on keeping the mach forever. I would love to just be able to put it away and drive it only every now and again....not quite there yet!

FritoBandito 02-21-2006 08:21 AM

Depends on job situation and whether the camaro really comes back.

venom 02-21-2006 08:55 AM

I plan on giving it to my daughter shes almost 8 months now :D

bikerjoe 02-21-2006 09:15 AM

Last I heard, that was not going to be until 2010. GM has no money for the project.

WaterDR 02-21-2006 09:17 AM

As far as keeping, I have no plans to get rid of it. As long as it is fun, it will be parked here.

I read in the new Motor Trend that plans for the "NEW NEW GTO" have already been scrapped and there will be no plan for Pontiac to follow the camaro (if it happens) with a firebird/ta. The concept camaro is as far as I bet it gets.

I own my car, free and clear, paid off a 5 year note in 1 year, 8 months...

.. REALLY mine to do whatever I want to now...:punk:

Grimmz 02-21-2006 12:04 PM

I'd like to say until my old age...i figure once I keep it for awhile it'll be worth alot more, that and I'm planning on rebuilding it later after college...

95bstallion 02-21-2006 12:46 PM

I'm keeping mine for the rest of my life. I have 2 other cars and when i graduate my parents are gonna help me buy a 96-98 cobra so i have no problems.

StangMan04 02-21-2006 12:49 PM

depends on what i feel like in the future. but i dont see myself getting rid of mine anytime soon.

Badfish 02-21-2006 12:54 PM

untill I can affored a faster car

TClark22 02-21-2006 01:58 PM

really and truly til i graduate college and get a steady paying job then i will search for either an 04 GT or 03/04 Cobra with very little miles...if that will happen

and i will have a truck that will get me through winter

Jack The Ripper 02-21-2006 02:16 PM

Im planning on keeping mine untill it is paid off, after that it is gonna become an offroad dragster.
Of course, if i can find a wicked deal on an 04 cobra or 04 mach1, (i want that engine) then ill have to trade in. <grin>

Icefreezen 02-21-2006 02:23 PM

I plan on getting a house within 2-3 years from now.....i'm thinking about making it my weekend driver and getting a beater car. And when the Stang engine starts to crap out on me i'm gonna turn it into a straight drag car....or maybe a show car havent decided yet

I love the new Challenger, thinking of buying one myself. But I plan on keeping the Stang too (paid for, why not?)...

Ford and Dodge have always been my favorite makers for classic muscle cars.

Same here, once I get through college I'll trade it in for a 2004 GT... not a real fan of the 2005's and 2006's though.
