I wouldnt recommend the Nitto 555 street tires in the rear after a 4.10 install..the car wouldnt know what traction is anymore...trust me,,,especially at the track. You will be spinning the whole time...

I have the Nitto 555 street tires with stock gearing right now..and traction is a HUGE issue as it is. Thats why I plan on getting 17 x 10.5 rims with 315 Nitto DR's in the rear to solve my traction issues....especially since im getting 4.10's in the summer to...

either get some DR's in teh back...or get a better tire...

well with my 17x9's without going to drag radials what would you recommend...as a better tire...as far as i knew nitto555's gripp pretty well but i dont really have any experience first hand so ill take your word for it...

the stock Goodyears gripped better than my 555's..I had better 60" times.. :(

the Nitto DR's have pretty good wear resistance.

stang00 11-16-2005 02:37 PM

275 in the rear is always good on 17 by 9 wheels

Just2fast 11-16-2005 06:38 PM

315's on 17x10.5 are even better

The Nitto 555 streets were dissapointing to me in terms of grip. Stock tires were much better.

02wt5sp 11-17-2005 02:41 PM

Woah! I got way better traction with the 555's then the stock Goodyear POS tires. I did go with the 275's, but with stock tire's the best 60 i got was a 2.2, with just the nitto's it dropped to a 1.9. I say get them, for the price I don't think you can get any better.

Just2fast 11-17-2005 02:51 PM

i looked into the pzero nero's that matt suggested they would run me 140 a piece for 245's...what size to do you have in the back matt 245's or bigger cuz you have the 3.90's (real close to 4.10) and your runnin mid 13 so you have got to be getting decent traction with them and if those are just 245's ima be buyin them up...

are you talking 555R drag radials? Because thats a very impressive 60ft for a street tire.
