Shop Warranty Questions?

Guys the transmission went out one my 99 grand prix gtp one year ago this month. It was repaired by a local transmission shop for the cost of $1800.00 (dont worry i was able to get my insurance to pick up the tab). About a month a go the transmission starts to act up again it would jerk into gear from a dead start and you could smell trans fluid then the car idle in park.

I also must state this is my car but my girl drives it all the time. So there was no power shifting or anything crazy being done. Anyways i thought id better get them to take a look at it again before the one year warranty was off. We let them have the car a week ago and they couldnt find the paperwork for when the car was fixed, they were thinking the warranty had elapsed. I didnt have my Paper work either. So anyways they find the paper work and their going to fix the car. My question Shouldnt they give me another warranty?
Even if i have to pay for it i think i should have the choice. My girl spoke to someone from the shop and they said we could purchase a warranty for $1500.00, thats the craziest thing ive ever heard.

Purchase a warranty? lol tell them to go **** themselves....after you get your car back, of course.

What bothers me is that when they originally replaced my transmission it didnt last a year. Now that they have to repair it and wont get paid i think they'll half ass it and i wont have a warranty.

The under warranty replacement will not come with another warranty. Sounds like you'd be getting free transmissions for life if that were the case.

Get the new one done, and start saving for your next one. Then go to another shop.
