Chrome bumper letters
I bought some chrome letters from e-bay. they shipped yesterday. My black letters are getting kinda frayed on the edges. Probably my fault. It was my first project for my stang. The backing didn't peel off like I expected. I'm gonna take extra care to do these better. BUT, I bought some cheap ones I think. Paid 10 bucks with shipping. :p . I'll post some pics when I'm done. I think they should look similar to SS inserts from behind?? Anyway If they dont work out like I want I'll get some SS inserts. I think the reflective look goes along way as far as looks are concerned. Any comments?? What do you guys have?? :)

Sounds like they'll look good to me. I don't have bumper inserts. Mainly due to the fact that I have a Saleen rear bumper :D

I have the SS ones that I bought off of ebay.

I have the reflective/silver colored ones on my car. I love em, as they go with the silver accents on the inside of the car as well. Use some soapy water to put them on, then squeegie the bubbles out and theyll go on great. Wish I had done this...lol

I got mine from MTing, the sticky vinyl ones. They match my chrome nuts! lol...

Yeah I used soapy water the 1st time but That paper backing didn't come all the way off. That's where I screwed up. I should have worked all the backing off. Anyway 10 bucks ain't gonna kill my beer run for this weekend. I just hope I don't start a chrome vs red vs black thing. I can always order some more black letters. maybe reflective black. The SS inserts look kinda weird to me. Plus they are 64 bucks. But I might get those sometime if all doesn't work out. If I could keep my hand steady enough I' paint those things on LOL
 |
