I am looking for a mustang. 94-96 any tips on buying? any problems with this year models?

Buy some enrollment in a language class.

With any car you are looking at, test drive it, check fluids, line up body panels, and check carfax and blue book to ensure a good deal. Dont be scared to go over the car with a fine tooth comb.

Are you looking at a GT or a v6?

Get either a 94-95 or go straight for a 99+. Sorry guys with the Non PI cars, but you dont hold a candle to the 99+'s. Make sure its a V8 man. Just give it a good once over to make sure its where it should be mechanically, and shop around, these things are EVERYWHERE. Good luck on your purchase.

What he said! I agree completely. If you can swing a 99+, that is the way to go. Or, find a 96-98 with a PI head swap already. Not that a 96 is a bad idea. After all, you have to consider what you want to spend.

I agree with everyone as I am the current owner of the worst as far as hp a 98. I have decided to drop in low comp Cobra block. Go with 94-95 or 99 up. I have seen power adders for 94-95 real cheap new. Dropping in PI heads from 99 up is good mod for 96-98 but it raises compression due to the pistons so if you plan to go for a power adder it will be a problem.
