i was thinkin about buying vertical doors, except i dont really know of too many places which sell them, the only place i know of is another website which sells them for 1700, which to me i dont want them badly enough to spend that much. anyone have them and can recommend anything?

Check ebay out! They have very good deals on them! Like this one!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Verti...spagenameZWDVW..

I personally think they are not for mustangs! I think they make them look bad and riceish.. ;)

I have to agree.Don't like them on Mustangs but everyone has there own taste.

your doors will never close the same again with those garbage doors. also with our doors since its hang style, if you try and close your door and you are half an inch off, you will smash your window all over the ground.

Go to the next car show near you and look around to see if anyone has them and ask if they have any problems with them.I would think that if the door doesnt close just right it may leak when it rains.

Stevoneo 08-24-2005 12:08 AM

depends on who installs them. Also if you weld the braket to the fram and weld to the door you will be ok. Its all in the install. And i have been helping my buddy out with his new shop, and he has done mustangs with the lambo doors. I personally am not a fan of them but they do look good if done correctly and he knows his stuff.

I see them all the time working at a cadillac dealership and a lot of friends are in car clubs or modifiing their vehicles, or even at car shows. lambo doors are junk but its your mustang so you can be called a riceboy if you like. riceboy.

timstpetefl 08-24-2005 07:06 AM

vertical doors = rice

Plus if you drive the car daily it would be major pain in the arse dealing with vertical doors.

SpinMedia 08-24-2005 07:26 AM

I know theres a lambo door kit that you can open them both out and up. And someone here on this message board had them with a Roush kit and i liked it =]

burnsmustang 08-24-2005 08:49 AM

thanks

alright thanks, itl be somethin to ask around about, i dont think theyre rice, i think its just something different and looks cooler and more modern than reg. doors.

StangGT804 08-24-2005 09:01 AM

One lambo's arent rice! And plus im not puting lambo doors on my car! Just like stevoneo said, its all in the install!! You cant just say lambo doors are junk! People wouldnt be buying lambo doors to have problems with them! Vertical doors inc, says no leak, no cutting, just a basic bolt on! If you want em go for it burnsmustang! They will look nice!!

No it wouldnt, vertical doors open out and then up IF YOU WANT for the vertical "look"! So no problems! :D

FritoBandito 08-24-2005 12:59 PM

Personally I think you should put the $ towards a supercharger.
Lambo doors are for lambos only. Leave american muscle the way it should be.

StangGT804 08-24-2005 01:06 PM

Well i agree, i would put it towards somethin else too! Because lambo doors n install is not cheap!! But its HIS car let him do what he wants!! I wouldnt mind puttin some on my car! lol

PureStang 08-24-2005 05:14 PM

hey...at least hes not modifying his door to open like a dolorian....huh..huh.....anyone agree....

MattJ 08-24-2005 05:18 PM

v6 or gt i still wouldn't spend that money on how my doors open, I mean maybe $800, but the $800 kit on ebay must be trash. And matt please, even if it is a v6 dude dosn't mean he cant get a lambo doors, I got a v6 and believe it or not its not even my daily driver, its just my night time/ weekend car and even if i did get a GT, a gt wouldn't make me get any faster through traffic down here. I got a v6 and all my money is gonna just go into appearance parts, and maybe if i ever trade it in for a GT i'll just switch all my appearance parts to the GT.

Juicedcoupe 08-27-2005 10:25 AM

i think those doors are ok but $1700 would go a long way towards a blower, but if that's what you like man wear it out. if all our cars were the same it would be pretty boring.

I took the kit off and sold it last week. I've settled down with the looks with the exception of rims as I'm purchasing a different set of rims shortly. I'm getting into road racing and open track racing like at sebring etc. It's not cheap but it's hella fun.

As far as practical goes, if you can deal with it, then it's a great addition to a non stock stang. Stock stangs do not look right with this kit on it.
