Haven't been around in a while...........
How's it going fellas? Been a while since I been on. I see its still slow around here though.
Been out of the Mustang world since I got back from my deployment, and I can't take it anymore. Miss the car to much. So now I'm looking for a dream car. 03-04 Cobra. Wife is kind of pissed about it because I haven't had my truck 6 months yet haha. She'll get over it though. Just gotta sell the truck first and I should be back in the Stang business. |
Get that Cobra!!!!!! you are right it is still fairly slow, but there is a beautiful bullitt that went through a transformation wherever he may be

Better plan.
Buy Mach 1. Turbo it. Swap a T-56 in with a better clutch than the factory Cobra clutch. Better than a Cobra, and with no heatsoak issues. EDIT: Coming from someone who owns a Cobra. |
Buying a Mach actually crossed my mind but I think I'd just rather get the Cobra. 08mustang_gt I thought you sold your Termi?

I would go with the Cobra. Glad to here you're getting another Mustang either way though :)

Being completely serious I would've much rather spent the money on a Mach 1 and used the extra to get a T-56, then just build the power from there. If you have no intentions of auto x or taking on a road course, then you have no real need for an IRS. The SRA is MUCH more stable, easier to take care of, and no wheel hop . Which also means you won't have the drop the IRS all the time to take the differential apart to reseal it. Because that wheel hop causes the cover to flex and eventually start leaking. The IRS brace doesn't help this issue, and only after dumping almost a grand into it does it stop any hop. There are a lot of things about Cobras that you may not see from many owners that is going on in the background. I can vouch for it. Compared to my GT, this thing is the most stubborn car I have ever seen. |

Nope. I sold the '08 GT. Two mustangs is impractical. For now at least lol.
