My car is in turd mode.

Pretty much everything in the engine bay and related to the drivetrain is starting to shit out. P/S was causing this kazoo sound but that's fixed, the valve ticking is getting worse as time goes on, when the transmission shifts it feels like the car loses its power.

I hate this fucking drivetrain. I'm buying a sohc 4.6 this summer so the car actually lasts me through college. The motor isn't much better in ways of efficiency but if it has less mileage and better shape than mine then that's all I want, everything else is just a bonus.

If your having issues with the trans, my step dad owns a transmission shop on airport blvd. Its pretty affordable. You could bring it by and we could scan it at least.

I like the exhaust. And that ticking can possibly be your manifold, the v6's are notorious for cracking because the A/C unit drips water directly on it.

I used to have the same sound and would tell people it was my "supercharger" and almost all would believe me lol...but it turned out I was low on power steering fluid.

Like already said the ticking is more than likley a exhaust leak. Super common with our cars and if getting really bad it will cause loss of power. Easy way to check is to do seafoam and see if you see a leak.

I know exactly what you mean, man. My car kept costing me more and more money in repairs. It finally stopped making sense to keep the car. Hopefully with a motor with less miles you'll stop having so many problems.
