My new ak47
Found this on my land today, it was down in a dry creek bed.
It had some rounds left so I tested it, still functions fine. http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/7483/055qs.jpg http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/9907/054uwv.jpg http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/230/056bd.jpg lol j/k its one I built the other day from a bunch of old parts. |
I have a saiga 7.62 with synthetic stock and all that. I'd still rather have an old original made out of wood.

It's real easy to make a saiga look correct, theres even a few companies that do the conversion before they sell the rifle. http://www.precisionweapons.com/CartGenie/prod-641.htm |
New guns are always fun. I should be ordering a new one later today. Oh and you got me with dry creek bed part lol.

Got to the range today for some torture testing, ainfantry7 and dooley came along.
First video, checking head space. As I was tieing the ak to the post some guy came over from the other end of the range and started getting anal about us testing it at a public range. Thought it was going to "blow up" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNvtDskFBaA After the first round it looked fine so I fired a few more off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twoLc4amUaI AK47 torture test, the second video has a FAIL. What happined was I did not clean all of the grease out of the inside of it before the test, sand and dirt got in the chamber and when it fired it jammed tight and ripped the lip of the casing off. BTW, a ak cleaning rod is to short to tap a stuck round from the chamber.....I eneded up getting a small "sample" snap on screw driver from another shooter. Long story short after 20 minutes of modding it I used it, the cleaning rod, and a rock to knock the stuck caseing out of the chamber. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ejfe_J0kBNQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91OFlJ2HUF0 So after we cleared the stuck caseing I cut up my boxers and used it to clean most of the grease/grit out of the action. After I wipped it down we cleaned it the traditional way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsVPlVIKdco I guess I should have waited till it dried to fire it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn6F6ywVxYo By this time the a-holes left the range and we hand it all by our selves. The shorts is a running joke on another forum I'm on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIMWPeD3eZY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=616CcSGek-g On the second toss off the roof top two of my welds broke in the rear trunion, when we got home I REALLY welded it, top and bottom. I had to mod the stock so it will fit inside the reciever and mod the bolt carrier so I could install it. If it fails this time around I'll fit the rommy side folder stock to it and weld the whole thing solid. Besides the broken welds at the end (now fixed) and the one jam that was my fault the gun ran flawlessly. |
Romanian for sure.
