Drove a 2011......

And wasn't terribly impressed... The transmission is in a word, odd. The gears are extremely tight and seems that it would be very easy to throw it into the wrong gear which would not be fun. I hate, hate, HATE the electronic throttle! It's just not as responsive as it should be, they really need to find a good middle ground between the '05 and the '11. The '05 was far too responsive and the new design just feels numb almost like it builds its way up to full throttle rather than going WOT when you smash it.. Do not like.

The interior is awesome though, I would love to steal a set of the new leather seats and fit them into my car. The side bolsters are great and really keep your ass planted in the seat. All of the climate controls are cool and the sync system is pretty bad ass too.

Overall I say that my car is more fun, I guess the refinement of the new car just kind of takes some of the fun out of the ride. I actually enjoy the "punishing" ride of my car, it just feels more like a muscle car I suppose.

Anyone else driven one yet? What are your thoughts?

I haven't driven one yet but if the manuel is set up like the one in the SVT focus, which for some reason I think it is. The close gearing is just somthing that takes a little getting used to.

I haven't but sure would like to take a new 5.0 for a spin.

I must say I do enjoy the harsh kinda shitty ride of my mustang. It does feel more like a muscle car and something with balls. But then on the other hand, I love having the wrx for that smooth quiet driving especially going to work and in the rain. Cruising at 75-80mph in the rain in the wrx is smooth sailing. Doing that in the mustang is the shits.

But I wouldn't mind taking a new GT for a spin.

No idea on the price, wasn't interested in buying it.. lol

It had pretty much all of the options. I know it had the 3.73 rear gear option, cruising 80ish mph it was around 2500 in 6th..

If you need a super comfortable ride for your weak vagina, you should not be driving a mustang.

lol
