Better place than where? I wouldn't move there.

No.

Steeda97 11-29-2010 12:44 PM

Move to Vegas. Or LA.

Parents live in the Calgary area. They seem to like it so far minus the freezing cold haha

99MustangGT 11-29-2010 02:20 PM

No... Way to cold.

Lol. Better place than Arkansas that's is. I recently got married and I was thinking of all the places and possibilities there are somewhere else.
My cousin is wanting to move to Canada with his family so we were doing some research about it but it really doesn't seem like it would be worth it.

<----- LOL fml, I hate Arkansas, never claim it even though I've lived here 5 years.

West coast is where it's at.

Just sayin'

Not to be a smartass, but will they even have you? Have you looked into the process of becoming a citizen in Canada? I don't know what it is and what the details are.

What kind of lifestyle are you looking for and what skills do you have as far as a job? Alaska... maybe? Nothing against the West Coast but I don't think I would go that way.

Nanny state, socialized everything, no gun rights, no recourse against a tyrannical local government system, high high high taxes, high cost of living, currency constantly wiggling (not like ours isn't) up and down in value.

Apart from those things, it's not even a real country anyway.

Their crime statistics don't tell the whole story, most crime there seems to be property crime. There's a TON of heroin problems in Vancouver too. Massively stinky sides of town, it rains 300 days a year there. I just can't think of anything really good about Canada in general and Vancouver specifically. I was there for a week and I don't really have a desire to go back.

If you're a U.S. citizen, stay in the USA and find yourself a "free state". Places like Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona are generally great states to live in. Idaho has some awesome too but that's really a sportsmans paradise and not much else. The others have big tech industry presence and nicely stable state government (except for Arizona, that's just cool cuz you can get a nice sweet gig with CBP/ICE.

The absolute perfect state is New Hampshire. The free-est state in the union. Hail NH!

Yet that's why you wont come back. ;)
LoL just messing with ya.

I love Oregon, I get random messages on FaceBook and MySpace of people moving here. The only thing I dislike is the weather, I'd rather have California weather. I think I'll okay I'm picking up on Snowboarding, so that can be my Winter bypass for waiting for Summer to come.
The only reason why I dislike our weather because it rains like 9 months out of the year. I like dry weather for the stuff I do, only thing I wouldn't need dry weather for would be Snowboarding which I just started yesterday.

My ass and shoulders hurt the most and still hurting from when I went up on Monday. First one nothing but crashing, at least 100+ times. Second and third run I did just fine, only because the first board wasn't doing what it was supposed to do. So I barrowed my friends and went down without any problems. I had no gear, which sucked even though I was warm. My pants come in tomarrow, boots came in yesterday and I have multiple boards and bindings. I actually do need some help/advice on some stuff. Jackets aren't cheap and I need a vechile that can make it, besides the bike and mustang. ahah

Colorado I was told was the best for Snowboarding/Sking.

I'd be taking a long vacation to a place before I considered moving. I'd have to agree with r3d, my Dad has often had to go to the northwestern states like Montanna, Idaho and the like due to work for months at a time. He loves it around there, I'm pretty sure he is going to try and move there when he retires.
