Pros and Cons
Craftsman Torque Wrench
Digitork ? http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...+torque+wrench or Microtork ? http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...+torque+wrench anyone? |
Neither....mine has a little LED screen and works great.
The manual ones end up breaking after a few years. Gone through three craftsman ones in four years that were the manual knob type. |
if they are plastic and twist lock I wouldnt use or buy them. We have digital ones at work and have a audible tone with vibrating when torque setting is met.
For years I used spring loaded locking twist style snap-on torque wrenches. I liked those even if I had to twist the damn thing from 20 all the way to 750 for its max daily cycle. Remember to store them at their lowest setting when not in use. A good torque wrench is expensive. I dread the day I have to buy a 20-250 inch pound and 25-150ft range. I will have to do this once I get out and back on my feet no more borrowing from work. |
