plane into side of IRS building.

a guy named Joe stack, was really mad at the IRS and shoved his plane into the side of the IRS building. he left a ranting note before he burned his house down with his family still inside, then crashed the plane into the IRS building.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,586627,00.html this is his letter he left.

i share his sentiments about the IRS, but crashing a plane into the IRS building probably won't get anything done. this guy was on the verge of being crazy, i think.

Steeda97 02-18-2010 12:35 PM

thats crazy. anyone else agree wholeheartedly with what he wrote?

NeedACobra 02-18-2010 12:39 PM

The letter was brilliant, however was it really necessary for him to burn down his house with his family still inside? Uhm, no, not really.

i agree with what he wrote. the double standard crap going on today is inexcusable, but it continues "business as usual". he is just one guy that shares our sentiments, and he wanted to end it, i suppose. short of driving a plane into a building, not much we regular americans can do against the IRS. his mistake was not filing a tax return. you always file a tax return every year, regardless. he made mistakes, and the IRS raped him over and over, and he got fed up.

Wow, that letter was incredible. I bet he did very well in English class. Such an intelligent man. But like they say, with strong intellect comes craziness.

I don't think he's crazy. Look at everything he went through, even when he hired the so called "professionals" to help they took their cut and left him for dead. The guy went through the worst possible financial life possible. I'd much rather be homeless than to have a home and have everything just stripped away one day because I was doing something "illegal" that many companies do 24/7 for years past and years to come.

I'm not gonna go kill myself over it, but I'd be seriously upset.

SnTBakosFinest 02-18-2010 02:50 PM

I believe he is correct on much of what he says. Let's face it, the middle class get shit on the most.

Handouts are given nonstop to big business, and the lower welfare - do nothing, class.
While guys like most of us, work all of our lives and bust ass, but when the economy slows, and we lose our jobs, we see no help, or half of our check, for maybe 6 months.

However, when banks, or motor companies, who give their CEO's million plus dollar bonuses each year, start to crumble, BILLIONS are shelled out to them, and the process is then repeated.

This guy did an experiment, to see if he could do the same as large corporations, and he failed, lost everything. Then he tried being legit, and it failed, and he lost everything. Then a mistake due to his account, forced him to fail, and he lost everything.

The last, which seems very true about any form of government ran business (IRS, DMV, ect) that when bad news is to come, and you have the ability to act upon it, the letter somehow manages to show up at the last minute, and you don't have time do do anything.

And let's face it, ANY political party, is not here to help you or me, although they swear they are. They are out to help <insert organization that's helping them> and maybe, just maybe, you'll see some of it, but it won't be on purpose.

Nothing will change this easily. I strongly believe our government grows more and more corrupt as time goes by, regardless of who's in office. These people, who have managed to accelerate themselves into being wealthy, or possibly born into a wealthy family, could give two shits about the working class. They pacify us, and just as they pacify the lower class.

And yea, I may sound like a nutjob, I know. But after watching how things have unfolded for myself, and some family members of mine, and friends of mine..it is really becoming clear, the people that we vote into office do not care, the bills that are passed seem to always have a hidden agenda to fuck us some how, and there isn't much we can do to change it.

Only thing I can disagree on, is this dude plowed his airplane into a building, just like a fuckin terrorist pussy, and he burnt down his home, with his family in it. However, it is more publicized then if he were to just kill himself.

On that note, I'll be pissing on this dude while he burns in hell for what he did.

He was 54 or so though so he should have had good grammar typically

Hahaha. Noooope. That may be true for the percentage of people who actually finished 9th grade. But down here under the mason/dixon you'll find alot of somewhat toothless 54 year olds who cant even spell grammar.

Or, they think that 'grammar' is a 'grandma'.

Well it's still a mess over there. Drove by when taking a neighbor to the airport this morning. That little plane did a good amount of damage considering how small it was

rebelyell 02-19-2010 11:30 PM

It's a fucking shame that guy didn't turn his suicide letter into a campaign speech and ran for some political office seat.. He was well gifted in grammar and actually made a lot of sense to people who wouldn't understand how politics work. But he slid off the path of being normal, to being psychotic. Sadly that's how he will be remembered. Just another terrorist looking to harm Americans.. I have no pity for him..

Indeed, but shamefully enough, his thoughts are pretty well lived in the older generation (you, sorry.) and the younger generation who still give a fuck (me and others)

It may be well after I pass before enough people realize that the hard working Americans, who actually bleed for this country are the ones who get fucked.

But, "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" if I remember the quote correctly. The more people gain, the more people forget about where they have came from, or what they have to do endure to get there.

My faith, honestly, relies in no one. I will attempt to make my own way, as much as I can, unfortunately. Sad to say, I think a guy like yourself should be living comfortably, you've made this country work properly. Honestly, you're the middleman, you've FORCED the upper, and lower ranks to cooperate. Why are you not retired with your debts paid and why haven't you made a shitload more cash.

Hell man, I watched my dad spend 20+ years as an electrician, and suddenly his knee gives out. As soon as disabilities finished he was gone. 45 years old, 15 years with the same shop, just gone.

Myself, I thought a union was the answer. I made alot of cash. I had whatever, but I realized that this "organization, by the worker, for the worker" was no longer built for US. It's built once again, by the big wigs, who know little, and expect the world.

I don't have much to offer this world, just to be another grunt, the same as the rest of my family, since we have been since we got to this country. I'm not lucky enough to have a rich family to buy me through college, I'm not lucky enough to have the Einstein brains to just get me through it.

We, the middle class, the Red-White-And Bleed, Blue, will continue to be slaves. Why? Because what else do we have in this world?

Here, in California, as the Pelosi followers continue to journey closer to my LIBERTY to bear free arms, or my desire to own a fast car, as they continue to pass more, ridiculous smog laws and taking science for one opinon but not the other, I will continue to suffer.

Hopefully, the Ice age will hit this may, and I will take my .270 and my .357 and go get myself a deer to eat, and a bear to wear, and survive, will these other fucked up hypocrites, who know nothing about how the world has gone for the past..billion years or someshit, will starve and freeze, and people who are hard working, who have lived the uneasy life, who have been taught values, who have been educate in such "barbaric" ways, will survive, an teach our families this cycle, so they can once again, repeat it.

Sorry, but ALL of this, pisses me off, especially thinking about it..

drag_racer33 02-20-2010 04:17 AM

That letter was amazing. And it's completely true.

There is one thing that I thought needed to be added. A lot of middle-class america has had trouble and lost their homes... they get nothing. A CEO has a little difficulty and might loose his island in the Caribbean... bailout. Now this may be "irrational" to our govornment, but I don't give a flying F&$% about that guys island when my parents are wondering how they are going to make it through the year (and they didn't over buy their house either).

Not to mention its a pain in the ass when my fellow peers complain because they have to take out a loan so they can pay for their $500 "cut" of college because their parents "aren't doing well" when I am paying almost every cent of my education (thank God for small scholarships).
