spike_africa 10-01-2009 07:09 PM

That is pretty sweet. Just save enough cash so your monthly payments don't kill you. Then you can mod it some to. Whatever happened with the parts on the car? Did you part it out?

Insurance would not let me take any parts off the car unless i replaced the part that i took off which was gay, so i lost big time, I only gor $7,500 for the car, but that went straight to the finance company and i still have to pay the rest of the loan off which is 4 grand, but i have a lawyer for that cause im not going to be paying $400 a month on a car i dont own anymore, it dosent make any sense...now i just gotta wait and see what happens, it better happen quick cause i already for the cobra i wanted...

Did I not call it in the florida meet thread? Holy shit I'm starting to get good at predicting the future.

08mustang_gt 10-01-2009 09:22 PM

^^^ Lol.

Very nice bro. Glad to see everything is finally working out for you. Keep us posted on the lawyer and everything. IMO that's bullshit that they shafted you like that in the first place, but welcome to the parasitic commerce system of the US.

Just my opinion here, but I wouldn't try to fight to the death with your insurance co. You still owed 4 grand on her? and they gave you $7500 on the total value? Geez that sucks. How long did you have that car financed for? I owe like 2000 on my 04 right now, you must have had a nasty finance charge on that loan... But it's all about the loan. Fcking banks, and insurance kills any dream of having something worth any money.. :(

mustangvsix 10-01-2009 11:39 PM

cool man look forward to possibly seeing what you get here soon.

i bought the car in the middle of 2006 for 17,500.oo out the door, but tack on an extra 9,800.oo for finance charges. We got a real high intrest rate cause my mom had bad credit then and i had nothing. but i learned one lesson ill NEVER buy from carmax again!

spike_africa 10-02-2009 05:23 AM

That sucks, but its also why I really keep an eye on my credit. I'm trying to buy out the house I live in pretty soon here and I need to keep on top of my credit.

Congrats man, but I hope you know what you're getting into with the higher payment and much higher insurance. Have you checked on that yet?

NewMustangMan 10-02-2009 08:22 AM

Congrats man i hope it all works out!

havent checked into anything yet, im busting my ass and getting this other loan paid off real quick, I know the payment wont be that high cause ill have my g-pa with perfect credit co-sign and ill get it at a low intrest rate. (hopefully) but i was already paying 400 a month for my gt so my goal is to get a hefty down payment for the cobra.

Leonide 10-04-2009 10:41 PM

dear god they raped your ass. 20 grand for a 3 year old GT in 2006? (after finance charges) no fucking thanks. i would not try for a Terminator right now in your condition...i would settle the loan with your old GT first then worry about another car. after wrecking that car, insurance is going to rape you with higher premiums, especially with a Terminator man...i would really look hard at your situation and make a reasonable choice within your budget. i'm not trying to say you can't do it, but you need to make a reasonable choice so you don't get fucked in the long run. i really hope you gget a good car...and SHOP AROUND. do not take their asking price. bargain with em.

I agree 100%. 17500 + 9800 =27300 for a used GT!
