We got a Boxer for our son's birthday (just turned 1) like a month ago and we couldn't be happier. She is a handful at times but a very good pet.

It would be one of three difficult choices out of my three favorite dogs.

An English Bulldog:

God, they are the cutest things ever. Big, fat bodies, and gentle eyes. I have wanted one since I was 8 years old.

A Rottweiler:

Or a Bull Mastiff.

I have names picked out for when I get one of these three dogs. I will most likely be the English Bulldog, though.

Congrats and happy late birthday to your little boy! Hopefully, she will be with him for a long time to come. :)

I'm a big fan of labs. Watch the show dock dogs. Their are some amazing dogs on that show.

My advice is to go to your local animal shelter or SPCA and save a animal that needs a home. I will never get a dog for anywhere else in my life. I saved both my dogs, one from the SPCA and one from the animal shelter, and they are both the sweetest and coolest dogs. Plus its very cheap to get them and your saving their life. Win/Win combo that you can't beat.

Bernardo is the pirate and he is a jack Russell/Terrier mix.
Belle is the lobster and is a Black and Tan Australian hound.

In case your wondering, yes that is belle at a table with a bowl of food, wine, and fork. She keeps it classy.

If I was a dog and someone put that god-awful shit on me, I'd bite their hand off. Did your dogs avoid you for days after that, Dustin? :p

spike_africa 08-27-2009 07:09 AM

You can ask Ryan or Stephen they loved it. Bernardo was partying the whole night pretty much in his outfit.

You can't tell me you don't think he looks cute. Every girl was loving Bernardo. And you can't see it, but he has a sword on the other side which is awesome.

My family had a variety of different dogs over the years, and the best hands down was our German Shepard Thor (R.I.P. 99-08) Excellent dog, and very friendly. He was also very protective of us, and he was always ready to play. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him :(. We buried him in the backyard after he was put down. At least that way we can visit him from time to time.

I would have to agree. One of our dogs came from the SPCA and the other came from a nice animal rescue founded by Tony La Russa.
