Forza 3
For any racing game fans, Microsoft just announced Forza 3 this morning. The game will be out in October. 400+ cars and eve more tracks then Forza 2. Graphics are better as they are using 10 times the polygons used for the cars in Forza 2. The crashes are better as you can now flip and roll over and you can take and upload HD videos and edit them. Should be a great racing game as usual.

oh man...
Iv been dying for a new racing game to come out. |
sounds sweet. Can't wait for it!
|
sweet, i cant wait to start drifting!!!!!!
|
I just bought a six-speed dual-force steering wheel too.
.....now I have something to use it on. |
forza 3 = best thing at e3 yesterday, close second = left 4 dead2
|
Oh yeah, I looked at the screens and a vid yesterday, jizz your pants worthy. The fact that you can race from the interior and all 400 cars have interior views has me most excited. Need for speed: Shift also looks amazing, definitely buying both of those games lol

That wheel sucks. The Logitech wheel has been out for almost a year now, has the same specs, and is cheaper.
Unless you want yours to say Porsche instead of Momo... The G25 doesn't work on the Xbox 360 ... |
do those wheels actually have realistic shifting and a working clutch?
|
Yeah...but the G25 isn't compatible with the 360, the Fanetec is, but it's $350 and ugly. lol. You can buy just the wheel for $150 and use the pedals and shifter from the Logitech, though
|
$350, Jesus, that's more than a whole 360. That's badass that it's actually realistic like a real life standard though.

Neither does the one you put up...... LOL. The wheels are fully functional. The G25 has an interface to where the seperate placed shifter can either be six-speed with built-in reverse (push down on the stick and go past sixth) or a sequential gearbox. The gears WILL NOT shift without the clutch pressed in, which can be turned on/off. The wheel has dual force motors, versus the normal one, and features solid aluminum/stainless steel construction wrapped in pure leather. Simply sick.... But requires a lot of use to justify it's cost. |

GT5 eh, keep waiting. Wasn't that suppose to come out a looonnngggg time ago? If GT5is anything like prologue, it's going to be the same Gran Turismo game as it has been.
Gran Turismo is always the same. The cars in there are usually always favored towards Euro cars for the best bang for your buck. The other cars can throw you across the track like a rag doll, but you can't even hurt them. And you get infinite money by going to the Endurance race at the Ring and have the controller rubber-banded to just mash the gas and go in a circle. Forza 3 FTW.... |

I think Gran Turismo blows compared to everything else anyways. It used to be good, but manufacturers like Forza and Turn 10 have shown the GT5 developers what "simulation" is really like.

That would be pretty sweet. It's also suppose to have like 100 tracks. I guess they added some more older muscle cars and SUVs for certain races. I can't wait to play it.

Yeah, I'd say that was one of the major downfalls of Forza 2, not enough tracks.. Plus I think they actually got rid of a couple that were in the original game..

The King Cobra tracks or whatever the hell it is was my biggest PITA. I hated those races. You need a freaking drift car to get through that track.
|
I've never tried anything from the Forza series...how does it stack up to Grid? or Dirt even?

And yes I did play it, a lot. But the same problems as GT. The opponent cars are invincible, faster, and never mess up. It's more related to Dirt, considering it's all tarmac based and not dirt/mix. But, the simulation and feeling of driving is very similar. I recommend going out and buying a used copy of Forza 2 and trying it sometime. It'll be the best money you'll ever spend on a game. Simply the customizing aspect is phenomenal. Everything from multiple power adders to choose from to engine swaps that change valvetrains. Note: I have a 900hp LS1 Solstice........it's retarded fast. |
