Anyone ever remove a washing machine drum
I've got an older top loading washer and water running out the bottom. Anyone know how to remove the drum to get a better look at gaskets and stuff.

I have, but every one of them are different. Just search Google and you can find all kinds of instructions and what not if its not super dirt old.

Like spike said just search it. I had one where the gasket went bad and needed some special tool to take the drum out and they wanted more money to fix it than it cost to go buy a newer better one.

I searched before I posted. It's a pretty old one and I didn't find a whole lot. Just thought someone knew some tips and tricks to making it easier for someone who hasn't done it. I saw something saying I needed a spanner wrench for the locking nut at the bottum inside under the aggitator. Went to harbor freight today and the only one they had came in a set for 50 dollars. I'll just use a small pipe wrench I grabbed from work. I'm guessing undo the belt from the bottum then undo the locking nut under the aggitator. Then lift like hell cause it's suppose to have a cement block attatched to the bottum.

i go to the canal to wash my clothes.

i got it. pulled the aggitator off and removed three bolts. came right out. the little rubber bottom that keeps the water in the outer drum came loose so i just reatatched the clamp and tightened it up

Hell yeah, welcome to world of fixing your own shit. I never pay people to things at my house minus cable cause I get that repair service for free.
