You could have used a better weapon. That's the M249 SAW (squad automatic weapon) those things are pieces of crap. They aren't verry accurate and are prone to jamming. When I was in the Marines ( I was a machine gunner 0331 ) we used to make jokes about those things being a single shot weapon. Fire, jam, clear, fire, jam, clear...

The M 240 G on the other hand (replacement to the M-60) is a work of art.

I think the smoke you added is my favorite part.

The M249 isn't the best weapon but then again neither is the M16/M4, just gotta make due with what you have, the M249 was never really designed for a sandy and dusty environment, the M240 I'm sure went through multiple phases before it came to be what it is, and it was destined to replace the M60 whereas the M249 is kind of its own thing, it's also a much smaller weapon than the M240, which is a large, cumbersome weapon you would more usually see mounted on a vehicle rather than being carried by a gunner. The rate of fire and fact that the M249 uses 5.56 makes it a good support weapon in theory, I don't think SAW gunners ever really hit anything, seems like they're more for just fire support and intimidation. It'd be cool to have an M240 in the photo, but it's hard to find good quality action pics like the one I used, most of them are grainy as hell.

beautiful photoshopping!! i agree on your observations on the M249. i was a SAW gunner for awhile, and always felt it was a sub-par weapon. epic FAIL in the desert. would love to see some Army stuff from ya.

Thanks, the recruiting poster look was what I was going for, still feel there is more I can do to it to make it more eye catching, though. I'll play with it.

And I'll make an army one for you guys, just got to find a decent photo first. Haha

what the hell is on the end of his rifle? o.O

It's a cover that fits over the muzzle break to keep shit from getting inside the barrel, once a round is fired the cap is blown off, no need to take it off.
