Cable ISP capping.....

How does this make you feel? Makes me want to kill all of 'em It's a bit of a read, but if you use the Internet a lot you better read. In simplicity, the cable companies want to charge you for how much you use now, like minutes on a cell phone...... Except gigabytes downloaded. |
I'd be screwed.

EDIT: Just clicked on that link and it was about Time Warner so no point for the post

Just came across this. http://gear.ign.com/articles/972/972084p1.html |
Fuck that, man...I got like 20gigs per day worth of usage in porn alone!
WTF? |
Totally against it. To me it's just them trying to make a buck. Just like in the "good ol days" of dial-up. You paid AOL by the minute, and it took half an hour to load a page. Now, instead of having slow speeds and charging for the time, they have super fast speeds that allow you to download much more in much less time, so they say "We can deliver DL speeds of 20+MB a minute and UL speeds of 5MB a minute, but we're going to cap you at a certain total and then charge for going over that amount". It's just total BS.

you have to be shitting me, god with my monthy usage id have to either switch providers or sell my car to pay for it.
