You have to take care of it or something will happen and it's not good.

Yeah I'm sure you can't. I was at court last year and there was a guy from Flodia I believe and he had to come back to take care of it or something. I forget, but it had to get done. My friend had to go back to California to pay off his tickets or something.

BikerSk8rKid 04-04-2009 02:23 AM

Slim GT or whatever is a cop, he's the best to ask about this.

Switch 04-04-2009 05:45 AM

You can't just ignore it.

r3dn3ck 04-04-2009 10:13 AM

if it's in another country you can ignore it but if it's in another state then you'll have a bench warrant in the other state if you just ignore it. Best to just pay the fine and include a note with the check that asks them to politely suck your dick, cradle the balls, stroke the shaft, work the pipe and swallow the gravy.

I wouldn't write that as for a note, because next time you're in that state and that's on file. The cop will be even more of a dick. I learned that the hard way.

Slim03GT 04-04-2009 10:17 AM

Pay it. If you ignore it then they willl suspend your license. If they suspend your license and you get stopped....you'll get arrested and your car will get towed :(

Wait you can get arrested for having a suspended license? I got pulled over two or three times for having a suspended license and they didn't do anything. But take my license, write me a ticket and/or sometimes inpound my car.

Slim03GT 04-04-2009 10:58 AM

I was thinking here in Maryland. My apologies. In Maryland you CAN get arrested for having a suspended/revoked license. Troopers arrest you for it. I release em on a must appear citation. Its a waste of time to arrest someone for something retarded like that...IMO.

Agreed, I don't even see the point. What's so bad that they're doing? You're already taking the car away and charging them.

krenogin 04-04-2009 12:16 PM

ahh this sucks,, i gotta appear for court for making a stupid mistake,, i took a curve and i was like hey i came in on 5th ave, went up thru it and it was a one way street, and i didnt see a sign saying it was one way. the cars opposite the street was facing it n everything, i got soo confused.. when i appear for court think i can argue out of it? by admitting guilty with reason?

King 04-04-2009 12:29 PM

You get arrested for a suspended/revoked license here too...so don't avoid this.

I once avoided a ticket I got for having an unregistered vehicle parked on the road (was a racecar I was building), but because it had no plates, no vin and wasn't directly parked in front of my house so the cop couldn't even identify the address = a big waste of time on his part.

You should be able to mail it in instead of wasting your time going down there.

krenogin 04-04-2009 02:44 PM

yeah but i dont wanna pay, im wantin to go fight. i didnt see any obvious signs so i think i should be able to argue my way out of it. im hoping.

King 04-04-2009 02:48 PM

What exactly was your ticket for?

I got that. But was he driving the right direction down a one way street? He didn't specify that. Cops don't usually give you a ticket for obeying the law.

Black Sunshine 04-04-2009 03:34 PM

I'm assuming the ticket was for him driving the wrong way down a one-way street, being as how he didn't know the area.

krenogin, why are you fighting the ticket? Just pay the damn fine and mail it in. It is a waste of your time and your gas to fight it. Technically, you still did wrong, even though it was unintentional, so I don't think the 'I was in an unfamiliar area and I didn't know it was a one-way street' excuse will fly, especially since they have signs that signify that the streets are one way.

With that being said, you should just be able to write a check and mail it in. My boss's friend got a ticket in Arizona and he lives here in Florida. He just mailed the ticket in.

krenogin 04-04-2009 03:41 PM

ahh oka.. shew, its gonna be expensive i know it.

He should of asked the cop where the sign was or look for it. He should be able to fight it if there is no visable signs indecating it's a one way street. If the cars are racing the wrong direction he should be able to win, if he has proof.

King 04-04-2009 03:45 PM

I guess you did specify, huh? Wow, I should look closer next time. Anyway, a guy was driving on the wrong side of the road here in town and got away with a 2 point ticket, 1 point after taking a wreckless driving class. But I think his fine was still $300...mostly for endangering lives, I'm sure.

krenogin 04-05-2009 07:43 PM

how much do u guess a "wrong way in a one way" ticket is? my 70 in 55 ticket was 150. But i got it threw away..

krenogin 04-14-2009 06:37 PM

UPDATE!! i fought the ticket,, and i lost.. 190 and traffic school. was gonna be 3 points for a wrong way on a one way. I went back and looked at where i had went and OMG if it was in the evening i wouldve been dead.. lucky it was 3am.

Ouch, that hurts.
