"Ratted" Out By My 4.5 Year Old Son

So, yesterday as per the usual routine, my wife picks up my son from pre-school in the afternoon on her way home from work. They come in the house and my wife says "So, we're sitting at the light at the intersection leaving Kyle's school. He starts asking "...why we aren't we going, can we go yet..." etc, and I explain that we have to wait for the other people to go first."

His reply?

"These people are going to goddamn slow."

My wife wants to know where he could have POSSIBLY learned that from.... :dunno:

Lazerred6 03-20-2009 06:28 AM

LilMissLayla 03-20-2009 06:29 AM

LMAO! uh oh............

mustangrn 03-20-2009 07:14 AM

LMAO!!! Welcome to the parenthood. My son busted my husband out the same way, I got cut off by a 902 year old blued haired lady and I proceeded to call her exactly an "old bat". My 3 year old son pipes up from the back with "Yeah, move over DUMBASS!!"

Of course I had to stop laughing before I could tell my husband about it.

hahaha I don't know what I would do in your position. It might be too funny to correct him on it.

Slim03GT 03-20-2009 08:29 AM

Thats hilarious. You trained him well!

NewMustangMan 03-20-2009 09:37 AM

Thats awesome. My best friends lil bro (5 or 6 at the time) got us busted one time. We were playing Airsoft and using cars so it was a chase like cops and robers and we did some ebraking in the cars. Next day his teachers called from school since he was talking about his brother and best friend playing with guns and racing cars and shooting at each other. It was not good for Me my brother who was playing and my best friend lol.

PureStang 03-20-2009 09:45 AM

lol...thats funny. my buddy lives with his aunt and uncle. His 9 or 10 year old cousin talks like any other college student i know. its weird...lol. when were playing halo or like games, and he is killed somehow, he will say something along the lines of wtf this is bullshit. first time i met him, i thought to myself...wow...this kid has a foul mouth for his age. His parents arent much better lol.

i honestly would find it funny if my son/daughter said something like the OP's. works like F*ck, c*nt, B*tch, etc would i discipline them. ass is not a bad word in my honest opinion.

LilMissLayla 03-20-2009 09:58 AM

Hahaha... what I get to look forward to when my daughter learns to talk.

My best friend, Lillian, told me yesterday that her 4 1/2 year old daughter stubbed her toe on the couch and yelled "Shit!" and Lillian goes "What did you just say?" (in the background the tv was on the Discovery channel about sharks) and her daughter turned ghost white and starts to look around for an answer, then looks at the TV, turns back around with a shit-eating grin and goes "Shark?"

This is not a dig on you, PureStang. Just my opinion and your post made me want to say it, haha. :)

I don't believe that any word is technically a 'bad word'. Who the hell decided 'fuck' or 'shit' are bad words? Who has the right to tell me that the words that I decide to use are 'bad'? I will be the judge of that. I can't stand when I go somewhere and someone overhears me saying "fucking" or something like that in a conversation with a friend and people look at me like I said the most horrible thing on earth and like they've never heard that word before... with their wide eyes and jaw hitting the floor. It just pisses me off.

My fiance and I have decided that we will never tell our kids that any word is bad. We are going to tell them that is a 'big person' word and they can say it when they are older. I don't want my children to think that language is a bad thing... it just isn't appropriate to use at that age.

That's exactly what we have taught both our boys and they are great. My teenager uses profanity and doesn't bother me one bit. I can here him playing halo or gow and yelling "wft dude" and "get ur ass over here". My nine year old is stll a little more curtailed since he would get in trouble at school, and it's hard for him to sensor himself between home and school.

I worked with this one guy, and he told me him and his wife had been arguing. His 4 or 5 year old son had walked up to him and tugged on his shirt and said Daddy, mommies being a fucking bitch, huh. Now that's some shit

Now that's when you know you need to do something. Damn!! (about the fighting)

i totally agree with you...but for someone who is under the age of like 14 shouldnt be saying some words that say a 25 year old should...see what im getting at? i dont think its right to tell a 21 year old to watch their mouth because they are fully aware of the word.

i know wehn im playing halo, yell so loud and soooo many "bad" words that im sure my mom is dissappointed but i couldnt care the fuck less cause i know that i am using the word...

the only thing that pisses me off the most is when someone uses these so called bad words one right after another to discribe something...that just shows that your just too stupid to use the english language.

My 16 yr old son cusses when he's with his friends, and playing online. Geez. he's fluent in the cuss world. But he learned it from me. gaadaamit, some words are meant to bring out the true impact of how you feel at that moment. If I see something extraordinary I will say Oh fuck, or Oh Shit. Thats our language as far as I'm concerned. When I see a stupid person doing stupid things I usually call them a Stupid Fuck. Sometimes Dumbass just doesn't do it justice. Anyway it's the American way of language these days. Gaaadammit..:)
