So those in school...how many years left?

In two weeks I'll 50 credits completed in 1.5 yrs.

so hopefully in 2011 I'll graduate from Michigan State with a degree in Accounting.

After that I hope I can get into the CPA program offered here or I will be off into the work force for 2 yrs before I go back to get my MBA.

Lazerred6 12-02-2008 09:05 AM

I have 6 classes to go and I will have those done by next winter at that time I can apply to my program and that's 2 years and then I'm done

so hopefully 3 years from now I will be done and can go look for a hospital job

It all depends on if I get accepted to Dental school. 1.5 more years for my biology degree, 4 more years after that for dental.

shit i wish i didnt have to go to college :( but i have to

Dave04Mustang 12-02-2008 01:56 PM

you should always work a couple years instead of going right from college degree to getting a masters. Many places look for experience so if you go right from college to more school your putting yourself farther behind. As well some employers make compensation if they prefer you to have a masters degree after you have been working for them.

Also, to get your MBA you need 2 yrs of work experienc anyway to get accepted.

Gotta go to medical school for that? If not, then I will put that one in my pocket to save for later for sure.

No, its seperate than medical school, just how dental school or pharmacy school. There is seven around the country and standards of getting in are easier than those listed above, but the pay is very nice.

01FR500 12-02-2008 06:01 PM

Thanks for that bit of info, I had never thought of Podiatry.

Even though I am an Accounting major I'm still applying to professional schools such as these, so along with my major I have to take all the pre-req/science courses.

I just want to leave myself with options when I graduate.

Podiatry school does require for the MCAT to be taken though, but the information should not be too much different than the DAT.

jseven 12-02-2008 06:37 PM

I graduate HS this may...

I just graduated from UCF and now Im working on getting into law school here in Florida at either stetson or Barry law schools. So I have another 3 years to go.

SeanStang 12-02-2008 07:47 PM

About to finish my first semester. Am either leaning towards wanting to go for surgical nursing or go into anesthesiology. So I still got some good time till school is over and done with.
