390007666379

Would be sweeet other than the horrible front weight bias.

Do it :punk:

Indeed, also, no one makes performance parts for the 6.3.
Strange that all the vehicles he list all use the 5.4... Im sure they can fit the v10 but still?

yea i just thought it would be sick, but very unreasonable. I found some brand new 4.6's for under 3k which i liked.

Never put a truck motor in a mustang...It sucks. The timing is so much different that you'll more than likely never get the computer to work. I had a buddy of mine try to put a 5.4 Triton is his mustang and we couldn't even get it to fire after 3 weeks of screwing around with it...not worth it. Buy the '03-'04 cobra motor. It's way better since it already has the beefed-up bottom end.

Not the supercharged one, just the crate....to clarify.

Have you seen R3dn3ck's mustang? 5.4? Or any of the other guys on here? They have had great success with them. And the 4v would be more complicated than a 5.4 from what i have been told. And waaaaaaaaaay more expensive as well. I would never do a swap with a 4v. If i wanted a cobra engine i would go buy a cobra. I don't really see the point to that because there is nothing wrong with my stang other than i wanna do a v8 swap eventually. When the time comes and i find a really nice 4.6 and 5.4 i would go with the 5.4 hands down. Its basically the same damn motor........but better and alittle bigger :beerchug:

Steeda21 11-16-2008 08:12 PM

this is the only v10 that i have seen in a stang close to my year....500hp and 600 tq N/A!!!

http://mustangworld.com/ourpics/News/select4734.htm

the whole reason is to do something different...id rather be the guy with a 5.4 or even a damn v10 than a basic gt engine

Ok calm down. I didn't say it was impossible I just said from what I've experienced it's a pain, but I agree with you 100% I don't want to be like everyone else with a plain 'ole 4.6 v8. The whole reason I fix up my car is to make it the way I want it and to be different from everyone else. But, if you figure in the cost to take a normal 4.6 forge the internals and everything it's just as big of a pian to me. Plus the 4v is a whole lot better for high end rpm since it can handle higher rpm's. Just an opinion...I'm eligible to it.

i just didnt know if you had seen any of the others. I def know any engine swap would be a pain, im with you on that. A 4v would be nice but i think it would be cheaper to buy a stang with a 4v. I know it won't happen any time soon, but when i do have enough money it will be: A: v8 swap B: older muscle car or C: newer mustang. I still am back and forth. And the old muscle car would be a 67 68 camaro hands down.

SnTBakosFinest 11-16-2008 10:38 PM

Old muscle without emissions laws..thats my next goal... god damn BAR and CARB bs...

Sorry, I'm bitter.

for sure man...THAT is one of the reasons why i want one. Long tubes + o/r x + straight pipes....im going all out with my older muscle car

08mustang_gt 11-17-2008 01:43 PM

Haha my dad has a '68 camaro and he has long tubes with an o/r x-pipe all going out to a 2.5" side exhaust lol. The cops are always just itching to pull us over. As for the CARB thing, I remember where we use to live in Tennessee didn't even have emissions. I had off-road pipes on the Cobra and the S197 and the cops would just throw me a thumbs-up as I went by lol. But now gay-ass Missouri has emissions....so no more...

I'd hate to live in California where they really crack down on that crap...it's a waste of tax-payers dollars to bust someone for not having catylic converters
