JackThe Ripper 10-07-2008 04:25 PM

OMG.. dayum, that guy fucked the car up royally.

edit: also makes me a lil nervous as my car is about to go in for some body work lol

Dave04Mustang 10-07-2008 07:26 PM

that guy really got screwed. You get what you pay for. For $250 what would you expect. He was asking for a shitty job IMO, stupid decision on his part

Damn dave..

you suck at reading.

lol...

Take the time to read through this first page. A lot of wrong information is being spread out like herpes throughout the other forums. People see pictures, $250 price tag, and immediately think "you get what you pay for" or "owner is stupid for thinking he'd get a good finish".

$750 was the total price paid for this garbage.

As far as the finish goes...

Dave04Mustang 10-07-2008 07:52 PM

haha nah I read that. I still agree with what I said though. He originally was going in thinking $250 for prep, installation, paint... no thanks. OEM paint alone would be more than $250 for all the parts he was painting. The other money was all for his customizing, wood and screws haha. Overall awful job by the shop but for a good finish that would have been over 1000 bucks

White04GT 10-07-2008 10:27 PM

That's what he gets for thinking about putting that ugly ass body kit on the car. That is why you don't go to a shitty shop to save $$$. What a retard, and what a horrible body shop. I could of dont a better job in my driveway.

King 10-07-2008 11:09 PM

If I ever need body work on my car, I'm selling it. Screw the body work. I took my '96 Bronco to a body shop to get a dent fixed, and someone backed into it. Then they said I still had to pay $600 for the original dent, then another $200 to fix the body. I wanted to sue them, still do. Parents wouldn't let me. They actually didn't let me go to the body shop because they knew I was going to kill the guy who hit my truck. I mean seriously, he hit my truck, and I've got to pay for that sh*t! Man...this reminds me of that.

Oh, and to Jack, Fish and all other Coloradans...
NEVER GO TO HAYES AUTOMOTIVE IN LONGMONT.
They're total dipsh*ts and rip you off. Sucks about what happened to me too and how my parents wouldn't let me sue. Because I really wouldn've owned them.

JackThe Ripper 10-08-2008 01:33 PM

King, sounds like a story for another thread.

so get to writing!

King 10-08-2008 03:43 PM

Meh, it was a year ago in July. Not really worth another thread for. That was pretty much the summed up version. You get the point.

zigzagg321 10-08-2008 06:51 PM

ouch....that car has sustained thousands of dollars worth of damage...its lawyer time.

Acttacus 10-08-2008 06:53 PM

Wow, all this incidents are making me nervous now. Car is going to RJ & G body shop in Raleigh for a $400 detail. Hope thy won't screw anything up. Its just detail, nothing can go wrong right? right?:eek2:

Fingers Crossed..

mustangrn 10-08-2008 07:15 PM

That's the most indecent thing I've ever seen done to a car. The perpetrator needs to beaten repeatedly about the head and shoulders and banned from ever reproducing.

3.8for the win 10-08-2008 07:16 PM

on the up side the car did look like an egg so who cares?

$400 detail holy fuck balls that's expensive.

If they're using a rotary polisher (for $400 I'd assume they are) it's very possible to destroy the paint with one of those. lol.

Well, in his defense, he probably loves his car as much as we love ours.

I feel so bad for that guy. He decided to give that 'Mike' guy a chance despite some of the bad things he heard about him, and ended up getting a full and large dose of the bad along with being raped in the ass with no vaseline to help suppress the pain. Then again, he should have went to a reputable body shop that had good reviews. I'd rather pay more money for a quality job at a quality place than save a few bucks to go with someone I wasn't sure of. 'Mike' better be glad that wasn't my car. I would have been a shitstorm in his worst nightmare.

00blkstanggt 10-09-2008 08:15 AM

I just don't understand why you would take your car there when he the guy even said he's seen the guys worst work and best. The best outweighed the worse. I'm sorry, but if a guy has done any kind of shitty jobs then there is no way I would trust him. You take it to a place that only does good work.

Well, my Uni road worker accidentally dropped a tree branch onto my hood, and put a couple of very small scratches on't. Just happens that their manager is a big Mustang fan, and managed to convenience the uni insurance company that the damage caused by the branch hitting my car requires that the car gets a full body (Bumper to Bumper) detail. thus the $420 price tag. I'm not complaining :smokin:

Just hope the shop don't mess anything up. Or I'm going to have to turn evil on them

What a piece of trash...(the body work)..
