Pulled over
 

Was on my was home from work at like 1230am and was stopped at an intersection right in front of the mall where i work. The light turned green and i accelerated more than usual to get in front to the person next to me because they merge into my lane right after the intersection. I did notice a cop pulling up to the light but didn't thnik anything of it because i didn't really blast off the line. So im driving maybe half a mile and i have to make a left turn at this intersection and the light turned yellow so i gave it a little gas to make the light and i DID easily. So im driving down the road going 40 just cruising along and this car rushes up on my ass and its the same cop i saw like a mile or 2 back. So i pull over and he comes up telling me not to drive so damn fast and that i am making a scene all along the streets. So he starts tapping my car and says what i hate people saying to me. This is the conversation:

Cop : So is this your hotrod?
Me: Not really?
Cop: What do you mean, it is or isnt?
Me: Its my dads but i drive it and pay the bills
Cop: Oh so he is the Cop that shows up on my computer
(dont get me wrong i love having a dad as a cop but i dont like people assuming that i take advantage of the fact that he is one. Because i dont)
Me: Yes
Cop: Have you ever gotten a ticket before
Me: No i havent because i am usually a pretty safe driver but i have had a really long night and just want to get home
Cop: Well, im not going to write you up, not because your dad is a cop but because i wanted to let you know that you were driving kinda wreckless and you did draw enough attention to yourself so i had to pull you over. And im sure your dad wouldnt want you to be driving like that in such a nice car. Drive home Safely

That is like word for word. He also said that i didnt clear the intersection in time before it turned red which is bullshit because you pass the white line before the red you are fine. Oh well it doesnt matter now, im just happy he didn't write me a ticket.

It's good that you didn't get a ticket. I have a friends that have been given tickets for not stopping when the light turns yellow. Failure to yield to a traffic signal or something.

I got that ticket before. I've only been pulled over twice (by the same cop) and both times i got tickets. Cost me $778 dollars in fines. I even had a PBA card, (get out of jail free card).

im really lucky I havent been pulled over so far. I always gun it at yellow. I mean full WOT lol. My engine screams and I usually burn out a little from 2-3rd or 1st-2nd at WOT. And when I make right turns on red I ALWAYS gun it again.

Im just addicted to feeling the Gs .... not nearly as much as I like but they are there =P Stupid slow ass V6

if that was me i would have gotten a ticket. Thats cool ur dad a cop.

Im not being an ass but i always wondered, how come police can illegal window tint and we cant? still does not make sense to me.
