When you can watch netflix movies in 30second with the PS3 let me know.

360 best online gaming check
360 best titles check
360 watch movies instantly check

I dont adopt any technology that has not reached the masses. I use to do that and you end up with expensive outdated equipment. As far as Blueray its outdated in technology as far as delivery. Why go out and buy a disc or wait for one to get to your home when you will be able to stream one to your 360 in 30 seconds.

Ask yourself what happend to Sonys Minidisc? It became obsolete when Mp3s hit the scene. Its better to let other companys sell your technology and make royalties off it then give those companies an incentive to come out with something better will deliver a faster better and more profitable way to watch movies. While Sony is dumping money into chips MS is just providing bandwidth and using the infrastructure that is there already to deliver movies to your 360 in 30 seconds.

Now that you know all the facts does the PS3 look like its full of the latest technology.

PS if your into the Wii you will be able to make avatars now with the 360.

No ****?

What model?

Ive been out of the audio game for far too long it looks, i diddnt know recievers were doing that yet.

My whole front end is denon. Got a 3805 reciever, a POA 2800 2ch 200w amp, and a DVD-2900 universal disc player that is built like a fuggin tank, i swear that player is like 35lbs

All pretty good stuff back in 2004. Still damn good now, all built to the hilt with good parts, just lacking some of the modern features like bluetooth and anything wireless..

But the Xbox has a digi coax connection to the reciever and does a fine job of streaming. most of my mp3'x are 320khz and higher

Ive always been a big fan of Denon.

All the facts? well.....not quite. see, the PS3 can stream movies from your PC as well, just like the 360 can. and as for all those hot titles? how many are 360 exclusives? sure, theres gears of war, and halo 3, what about the sony exclusives? resistance: fall of man is an awsome game, it rivals gears in every way. Heavenly Sword is a masterpiece. Ratchet and Clank: Future tools of Destruction is another insane game. by far one of the best games ive played.

also, can your 360 make phone calls? how about interface with hand held game consoles? can it be used as a DVR and rip/record movies and television shows like a TiVo? how about browse the internet? or here....can it run CRISIS at 60fps?

Sony released the PS3 knowing people in the US wouldnt quite be ready for it, from a technology standpoint, ie the whole 1080p being only the newer tvs. give the ps3 some time, and youll all see its true power and potential. 360 has had a few years to get its feet wet.

now, all this being said, BOTH systems are great for thier own reasons. ps3 is definately more versatile though.

As a house warming present to myself I got the AVR-4308cl its 42lbs . I have not had time to toy around with it but I finally ran the wiring for the four rear surrounds.

We can agree to disagree. Its always the same excuse just wait and wait and some more waiting eventually something great is going to happen with PS3, "we'll show them Duke boys(360), gelllgellgell". What is the best console right now or since the new consoles have been released its the 360. If you want to speculate what may be on top a few years from now then get a PS3 you may be rewarded with everything the 360 does right now . Everybody has their fav console but I just go where the real gamers are at .

there is no doubt right now, for sheer gaming the 360 wins hands down. thats something i wont argue. not everybody is a hardcore gamer though. some people like a little more versatility, and something that can be used as a total central entertainment hub.

and as for what it can do a few years from now, all the stuff i posted for capabilities are what it can do now. problem though, is the firmware to do some of this stuff isnt available in the US yet. that is by far the biggest drawback for the ps3 imo. and the huge delays on the PSN restructuring.

by the way, even after all my ps3 advocating, im kinda surprised nobody has asked what i play? i am an XBOX360 owner. but as ive stated several times in this thread, its all about the indivuals personal needs and playstyles. im kinda a hardcore gamer geek, so for right now 360 best suits my needs

Let us not forget the PS3 was being designed before the 360. So really sony was into the next gen consoles before microsoft. Just microsoft knew if it could get its nextgen out before sony it would have a head start. However look at what it cost them. They 360 has a HUGE list of known problems whereas the PS3 is built like a freaking rock/tank/whatever.

also the PS3 has many more features and is more versitile. Ive played on both systems and I love the PS3 way more.

lack of games is not sonys fault. its up to the game creaters to pick which system they want to build for. Im pretty sure the lack of games for the PS3 is becuase its harder to code for with like 8 CPUs. The 360 is basically just a computer, so its probally a lot easier to code for. So ive heard.

actually the problem with sony not having decent games at launch was 100% thier fault. they took way too damn long getting the dev kits to the developers and yes, its alot different to code for than a 360. my question though...what awsome next gen games did the 360 have at launch? Halo and Halo 2 ?? oh....wait.......****......

for the record, Resistance:Fall of Man, a ps3 exclusive launch title is an AWSOME game. cant wait for Resistance 2:Rise of Man

2 seperate co-op campaigns, 60 player online multiplayer experience, hundreds of weapons....OMG

Agreed. It's funny reading all the **** though. Remember when video game systems use to just play video games? haha. In the end, I got another roommate buying a 360 eventually. So we'll have every game covered that comes out. Besides Wii stuff.

Sony doesn't ownt he rights to Blu-Ray first off. They were the ones who helped back the technology and wanted to get it started, but they didn't want to use all their own money for it. So they got some other companies like Panasonic and such to help them out. There is some Blu-Ray association (can't remember what its called) that actually owns Blu-Ray and the head guy wanted Microsoft to make an add on.

As far as games go, Sony is losing some of their exclusives to Xbox. Devil May Cry was a Playstation exlcusive and it crossed over. I think the biggest blow is Final Fantasy is crossing over to Xbox as well. Gears of War is hands down a much better game than Resistance. I've beaten both and Gears takes the cake. Gears 2 will murder Resistance 2. I would say another advantage that the 360 has is that you can listen to custom soundtracks while playing any game, where PS3 you cannot. PS3 may sound impressive on paper, but when you've played both (friend has both systems) the 360 is overall a much better system. As far as surfing the net goes, I have a laptop for that.
