My wife just bought me a brand new Crock Pot today. The new kind with the locking lid and all the digital timer stuff. I still have my crock pot from the caveman era and it works great, but now I got more room for bigger stuff.

I'll throw some country style ribs on the grill to get em started and get the smoke going. ( great for getting the neighbors started), then finish them in the crock pot with the BBQ sauce for about 3 or 4 hrs, until the completely separate from the bone. Dam best tasting ribs in this universe.. LOL

Also I do the same with a beef chuck roast, with onions and carrots, start it on the grille and let the slow cooker make it fork tender, makes for great sandwiches for as long as it lasts.. :D. I can't wait to try it out. It's still in the box.. and it was only 30 bucks... :).

Pretty funny how so many people "do it the same way, except...". I too make them fairly similar. I do not use the bleu cheese, but have put bleu cheese crumbles on the burger itself with some cajun seasoning- "black and blue" burger. Anyway, I use Worcestershire in addition to a little liquid smoke. I also noticed someone suggest crackers...I usually crumble up (fine) some Ritz crackers and add to it.

Youre making me hungry, and even more ready for spring. LOL I am more of a Ribeye or rib person. I make some killer slow-cooked, smoked and BBQ'ed ribs. I refer to it as "pissing the neighbors off". I am also another firm believer in the Weber grill. Plans are to build a deck this summer and I might splurge for a nice gas grille, but it would only be used for something quick like hot dogs, chicken breast, corn on the cob to accompany the big fat ribeyes from the Weber...I just cant imagine not having that charcoal taste, especially with steaks and ribs.
