Steeda Sport Springs
 

I hope i'm posting this in the right place, but anyway I've had some steeda springs laying around for quite some time cause the only place in town that will install them wants $350, this seems a little steep to me. what would you guy's say the avarage install price would be?

You can do it yourself.I had my H&R's installed for $100.

I do'nt think I'll install it my self, I'm a little lacking in the knowledge and tools department, but i supose I could install them in my auto-tech class when summers over :idea1: . Anyway Thanks for the reply, i figured $350 was a little high.

Yea real high.

i heard most shops say less than 200 at most. not sure though. get out with 2 jack stands and it will take you a couple hours.

BTW What do you guys think about removing one of the rubber isolators to make it a little lower, will it screw up the ride or be too noisy?

It will probably squeak pretty loud...I would leave them in.

yeah, they are there for a reson, it porbably wouldnt even make much of a differnce

Before you finish the install check out the bushings to make sure they are good and not all dried out...mine squeaks a little now sometimes and I think that's why...cause I left the isolators on. When I'm not feeling lazy I'll probably the bushings out.

if you have a friend in the military than you can go to the base with them and use their hobby shop and with 2 ppl with a lil know how then it should take about 2-3 hours at most. i guess if you decide to take them out. remove the 2 lower strut bolts out that seems to be the easier way up front. i had my springs a year before i put them in.

I referred a friend to a local mustang mechanic to do similar work. They installed the Steeda G-trac system (sport springs, C/C plates and strut tower brace) for $300. Springs alone should be no more than half that, if that much.

A buddy and myself did mine and it took like 3 hours taking our time. Its not hard at all...
