there were 1,039 Comp Orange Mach's made.

I think that's about the right price. I paid about that same price for mine with about the same mileage on it.

i talk to the sales man and if he would have come down 3k i might have had a chance to get it but he would not. o well better luck next time.

stanger00 06-09-2008 02:15 PM

I agree. Also, not sure how old 3.8 is, but the insurance on a mach is the same as a cobra if I remember correctly.

3.8for the win 06-09-2008 03:33 PM

wow i never thought it was as much as a cobra i would have never had them money for the insurance.

you can always get the VIN # and check with your insurance if you come across a mach in your price range. I think every state is different, but if you are young it's probably going to cost you big time.

im only 17 so i dont think i could pay for it yet, maybe a few years down the road.;)

The insurance rates change pretty dramatically from a GT on up. I know an 04 Cobra had like a 26 vs, a 21-23 for my GT. Not sure which one. I can't find how they calculate the rates. I think a mach 1 may be a tick below a Cobra though.. And that's just baseline stuff. No tickets, no claims, etc. And I'm pretty sure age is gonna calculate into this also..

I would think a Mach1 would be lower than a Cobra.

And I swear I saw an 02 or 03 Comp orange Mach 1 on the ford car lot when I was browsing, when I was looking for my wifes car in 2002. They wanted 31 K for it. Cant remeber if it was used or new..

yeah it might be a tick below a cobra, but I know it's more than a GT like you said....I forgot how much my insurance went up from my 03 GT vert to the 04 mach, but it did go up. Lame if you ask me, but oh well.
